The Web Producer / Front End Developer Consultant is a critical member of the European Ecommerce team. Using the content management tool, this person is the main production support for the release of new content to the European web sites and for html emails. S/he loads, formats, refines and proofs the majority of assets and copy for the creation of pages on the Great Britain, German, French and Italian websites. Website assets are designed and developed by the global team, and the Web Producer / Front End Developer Consultant will transfer and adapt the assets to the European websites.|
Responsible for the creation and management of the production work necessary for maintenance of the European sites.
Complete weekly production of maintenance content and assets through posting phase by following deadlines set and managed by the European Ecommerce Manager, Ecommerce Operations Coordinator and the US-based Web Production team.
Coordinate the flow of assets and asset information with international colleagues for the production of content for the different locales. Coordinate with the Translation & Web Content Coordinator to receive translation assets in due time for content publishing.
Responsible for completing the necessary tasks for SEO needs as requested by the Ecommerce Operations Coordinator.
Interface with all members of the Ecommerce team to keep daily projects on schedule and within budget.
Support site copy and functionality maintenance.
Quality assurance of all functionality launching on the European sites.
Work closely with the European Ecommerce Manager and Ecommerce Operations Coordinator for approval of updates and edits to all sites.
Responsible for the proofing of web assets, (including but not limited to) image assets, captions, banners, shop pages, etc. on a regular basis.
Continuously evaluate and propose new content improvements, functionality and manage the UI/UX testing across the 5 key European markets.
As needed, take on special projects to support other team members.
In order to succeed in this role, it is expected that you will have:
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
2+ years' experience in the field and/or a related area.
Fluency in English.
Excellent computer knowledge (specially Microsoft Office applications).
Proficiency with Adobe programs (In Design, Illustrator and Photoshop).
Experience in front end development for e-commerce sites (Demandware experience is a plus).
Experience with A/B testing of Ecommerce content and functionality.
Previous content management systems experience preferred.
Knowledge and experience of web page building and site management processes preferred.
Knowledge of commonly used production concepts, practices, and procedures. Aptitude for working with web-based tools.
Understanding of e-commerce site architecture and maintenance.
An aptitude for detail-oriented and repetitive work.
Excellent personal time-management skills to meet challenging timelines.
