NIZO food research, located in the heart of Food Valley (NL), is the partner of choice for industry. We are looking for a Scientist/Researcher Protein Technology, with extensive knowledge and experience on the processing of food proteins, more specifically dairy and/or plant proteins as well as protein hydrolysates. Your aim will be to develop and implement protein technologies for our customers from the international food industry in an efficient way to reach their objectives. SCIENTIST/RESEARCHER PROTEIN TECHNOLOGY
As an experienced scientist/researcher protein and hydrolysate technology, you will combine scientific insights with industrial applications and focus on translating the needs of customers into scientific and technological approaches that will deliver the desired practical solutions. Your field of expertise should cover the processing of dairy and or plant proteins, with emphasis on the industrial practice, preferably including protein hydrolysates, spray-drying technologies and/or powder properties.
You will participate in projects for our customers as a project leader or expert and will help drive, develop and implement protein technological solutions. Here you will collaborate closely with science leaders, scientific assistants and business developers throughout all stages of the projects, i.e., the initiation and identification of milestones and deliverables, the planning and execution and the knowledge transfer to our customers. You will be working closely together in multidisciplinary teams with scientific and technical experts both internally and externally.

• PhD or MSc, preferably in food science, dairy science, or related areas
• At least 3 years working experience, preferably in the food or dairy industry

• Proven ability to communicate with and manage expectations for internal and external stakeholders in projects
