Spirit IT has a challenging position available for an experienced PMU Sales Manager.
The 14-year-old company Spirit IT, with 43 employees, designs and sells flow measurement and supervisory solutions for use in oil and gas applications. Its flow computers and software deliver exceptional accuracy and control for well-pad automation, transportation and custody transfer applications. The Spirit IT portfolio adds the liquid measurement component to ABB’s industry leading gas measurement and automation product line. The combined offering will deliver comprehensive expertise and market strength to customers and provide new opportunities for growth in the oil and gas segment.
Objective of the position
Now that Spirit IT has joined forces with ABB, there is a world of opportunities to introduce their products in the global market. The fact that the innovative technology of Spirit IT fills a white spot in ABB’s portfolio, combined with the solid reputation of a global technology leader, creates the perfect opportunity to continue to grow exponentially in the Oil & Gas market.
It will be your responsibility to motivate and support identified country-based ABB sales teams to sell Spirit IT products. You will execute the marketing & sales strategy and align it with the priorities of the global product group.
You are responsible for meeting or exceeding the appointed orders budget: based on the business strategic plans, you implement and follow-up sales plans with the local sales teams around the world in assigned territories.
You find and recommend channel partners with local ABB LSU’s (Local Sales Unit) where market size requires additional partners.
You agree and manage annual orders budgets together with ABB.
You support and drive sales at local ABB LSU’s and other ABB sales channels in winning new customers and projects.
You will assist them to achieve their goals by providing tools, marketing materials and product training programs. You also inform them of key accounts or sales opportunities that are identified in their country.
You maintain the pipeline of sales opportunities and all outstanding quotations for Spirit IT products.
You introduce Spirit IT products to key accounts and channel partners. Organizing marketing and training opportunities to support sales.
You respect the profitability and cost goals, by applying structured pricing models.
Within the global product group you will report on your KPI’s, customer satisfaction and market trends. You support product managers and R&D by providing structured reports on customer feedback and evolutions in the market.
Managing the local inside sales / proposal team: You will ensure timely and correct quotations, professional logistic and delivery assistance and high quality support to the sales teams.
Opportunity based international travel as required.
You have a technical or business degree and a solid experience (minimal 5 to 10 years) in sales management within the oil & gas segment, enabling you to understand our markets, customers and competitors.
You have a proven track record in growing sales, improving customer satisfaction and supporting global sales teams.
You are motivated by driving sales and by working in a complex environment that will grow and change continuously in years to come.
Knowledge of instrumentation and Process Control technologies is an advantage.
You have excellent communication and public relations abilities, as well as the ability to involve and influence others to participate in the process.
You have excellent communication skills (English is required) and are willing to travel frequently.
