Spirit IT has a challenging position available for a proposal engineer.
The 14-year-old company Spirit IT, with 43 employees, designs and sells flow measurement and supervisory solutions for use in oil and gas applications. Its flow computers and software deliver exceptional accuracy and control for well-pad automation, transportation and custody transfer applications. The Spirit IT portfolio adds the liquid measurement component to ABB’s industry leading gas measurement and automation product line. The combined offering will deliver comprehensive expertise and market strength to customers and provide new opportunities for growth in the oil and gas segment.
Objective of the position

It will be your main duty to respond to Sales Channel and Customer Requests For Quote (RFQ) by evaluating quote requirements, requesting authorization from Engineering, Legal, Product Management, Manufacturing, Suppliers, or Others as required, and developing an approved ABB Quote that meets the customer’s needs as well as provide the necessary information to process the ensuing order expeditiously.
Through training and experience, you are acquire all product information on our products, which enables you to deliver the correct solutions to our clients.
You are responsible for all the accurate handling and processing of RFQs from our (potential) clients).
You deliver technical and commercial calculations to answer the requests of our clients.
You’ll review the assigned RFQs for all requirements with regards to the product, the delivery, the price and the terms & conditions.
You work in close collaboration with the product manager and the regional sales management team, to select the best solution for the client.
You keep yourself informed of all changes in customers service processes and related manufacturing & sales processes.
You have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field or a commensurate level of experience.
You have minimal two to four years of Instrumentation technical or inside sales experience
You have knowledge of instrumentation and Process Control technologies
You haveexcellent communication and public relations abilities, as well as the ability to involve and influence others to participate in the process.
You have a service mindset, and are willing to go the extra mile to find the right technical solution for our clients.
You like organizing and coordinating between different departments to ensure a good follow-up on all quotes.
You have experience with PC office tools (Word, Excel). Any experience with SAP is an advantage.
