We are consolidating all Amazon-related activities into one central hub to strengthen customer relationships and drive revenue growth. In this role, you will manage $50MM in revenue across European markets, ensuring financial accuracy and efficiency for SodaStream’s Amazon business.
What you’ll do:
- Oversee financial control and revenue management for Amazon operations.
- Ensure compliance with GCS, US GAAP, and Dutch GAAP.
- Deliver accurate financial reports impacting market unit results.
- Manage billing, payments, AR collections, and rebates.
- Handle SKUs across all categories (machines, flavors, CO₂ cylinders, bottles).
- Drive process improvements for Amazon transactions.
Financial Planning & Reporting
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, and rolling forecasts for Amazon Europe.
- Analyze P&L, sales trends, profitability, and margins by product and country.
- Deliver accurate, timely financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual management reviews.
- Prepare monthly sales segment reports for key stakeholders.
Controlling Activities
- Partner with Sales, Supply Chain, and Commercial Finance to assess performance vs. Targets and explain variances.
- Provide financial insights to guide strategic decisions, pricing, and investments.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and corporate guidelines.
Accounts Receivable (AR) Management
- Manage Amazon-related AR processes across Europe, ensuring timely collections and healthy balances.
- Resolve claims, chargebacks, and shortages in collaboration with internal teams and Amazon.
- Monitor credit risk and recommend preventive measures.
- Conduct root-cause analysis of recurring AR issues and implement improvements.
Process Improvement & Business Partnering
- Act as the Finance point of contact for Amazon EU on AR and Controlling topics.
- Collaborate with Operations, Commercial, and Supply Chain to optimize the order-to-cash cycle.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, automate reporting, and reduce manual work.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience: 4–6+ years in Controlling, Accounting, or Financial Planning (FMCG, e-commerce, or international business experience preferred).
- Amazon Expertise: Knowledge of Amazon’s financial and AR processes (claims, shortages, chargebacks) is a strong plus.
- Skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a talent for turning data into actionable insights.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP/BI tools (SAP, Power BI, or similar).
- Languages: Fluent in English; Dutch or German is an advantage.
- Mindset: High diligence, proactive ownership, and ability to thrive in a dynamic, evolving role.
