Logistics and Buyer Specialist

Mood are seeking a Sourcing & Logistics Specialist Audio, Visual, Scent and Indirect Sourcing. Responsible for the coordination and administration of contracts, supplier management, purchasing, negotiating pricing, contract terms and conditions. In this role you will support and inform the Operations and design departments on the market trends, product development, solutions and strategies.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

• Be a focal point for country purchasing, Logistics & warehouse operations, including but not limited to European support;

• Develop regional strategy to support internal clients;

• Coordinate the integration of strategies into the projects and/supporting market strategies

• Leverage the knowledge on the commodity or industry to support new product development;

• Support the Sourcing & Logistics management in international Projects

• Be an integral member of the European Sourcing organization.

• Support the project management group with material issues.

• Support department goals of cost, inventory, & supplier reduction.

• Supplier delivery performance of 98% on time delivery or better.

• Supplier product quality performance of 98% or better

• Create all assigned purchase orders.

• Track all orders from shipment to the supplier until return and monitor progress of critical or longer lead time orders.

• Create internal process to report out to team daily.

• Conduct quarterly Supplier risk assessment meetings with internal team and post findings.

• Research additional sources, validate and approve with engineering and quality and develop a sourcing strategy that ensures a primary and secondary supplier for all outside process services.

• Achieve cost savings/productivity and review open issues weekly.

• Collect and report the monthly European savings (monthly savings report)

• Be the purchasing point of contact for all issues with suppliers.

• Support the global Item master Manager in the European Item master processes

• Report on a weekly basis to the Sourcing Director Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:

• Strong Interpersonal skills to include but not limited to; solid oral and written communication

• Great level of reliability and accountability as many functions of the role are subject to stringent or changing deadlines.

• Customer service oriented.

• Able to work with minimal guidance to plan and prioritize own work.

• Ability to work with other groups

• Ability to work with and coordinate efforts in other countries/regions Required Education and Experience

• Computer and system skills: proficiency in Microsoft Office suite required, ERP software preferred

• Communication and Analytical skills: Must have strong written and verbal communication skills as well as strong analytical skills. Presentation skills preferred.

• You hold a technical Degree in Business or Engineering, and/ or a strong link with AV and Sourcing

• You have experience in technical and or AV businesses.

• You are proficient to analyze data and convert it to activities and you have technical and operational expertise; • You are oriented to cost reduction and continuous improvement;

• You have strong negotiation and contracting skills;

• Your English communication skills are good both written and spoken.

Travel Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected. Travel is approximately 5% of time. We assume you have a driver license and a car.

Essential Job Qualifications:

Graduate degree (Master's, Doctorate, etc.) or equivalent.

2+ years progressive responsibility with experience within a purchasing, sourcing or procurement team.

Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) certification preferred.

English and Dutch to a high level written and spoken. French desired.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Experience in obtaining, analyzing and reviewing procurement, inventory & Logistic related data with organization's and company's management teams

• Experience in key supplier management including periodic review of supplier performance, pricing and product development roadmaps

• Strong written and verbal communications skills are required.

• Ability to take initiative and solution oriented

• Basic knowledge of video, sound, and scent equipment helpful

• Team player, yet independent worker and thinker.

• Ability to coordinate and collaborate with other Mood organizations

• Ability to coordinate, communicate and manage assigned suppliers

• Have a working knowledge of ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, etc.
