Test Automation Engineer

, you are part of the 

Party Module team (PM)

. Within PM, your impact lies in swiftly and securely deploying new functionality to production. The system serves as the starting point for Rabobank's large corporate customer journey worldwide. New international customers are registered and managed within the Party Module. The system oversees the customer and their data throughout the entire customer lifecycle. Your engineering team plays a crucial role in effectively serving our international clients.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

• You are a member of a 

  T-shaped DevOps team

   that realizes digital ambitions within the 

  Data & Connectivity Area

  . Your focus is on the technical aspects, working closely with both business and IT stakeholders.
• As a 

  Test Automation Engineer

  , your responsibilities include ensuring stability and performance of the platform, as well as safely and largely automating the deployment of functionality to production. This allows software developers to concentrate on their specialized areas.
• The system is 

  cloud-native

  , built on the 

  low-code platform of Appian

  .

Practical Examples of Your Work:

• Developing and managing 

  automated regression tests

   to enable faster and more frequent releases.

• Automating critical flows

   within the system and relevant pipelines.
• A challenge lies in balancing the team's desire for rapid development with the need to optimize the speed of the testing process.

Test Automation Engineer (Party Module Team)

'As a Test Engineer with in the team brings you lot of challenges, especially the development is done with a BPM tool (Appian - Low code Platform) so it's faster and innovative. You get to learn and develop a lot with unique ideas in Testing, prioritizing the work and thinking out of the box with delivering the solutions faster and innovative.'

You & Your Talents

• 

Minimum 5 years of experience

 in IT.

• Proficient in test tooling such as 

Selenium, Specflow, and Cucumber (BDD)

.

• Skilled in

English

 (spoken and written)

Dutch

is a pre.

• Previous experience with 

low-code platforms

 (not required).

• A true 

team player

, proactive, and actively contributes suggestions within the team.

Essential Skills you bring

• Understand test automation principles and when to apply them.
• Grasp basic OOP concepts for creating maintainable test scripts.
• Know client-server architecture and API testing (POST, GET, PUT, DELETE).
• Proficiency in Java, TypeScript, or relevant languages.
• Experience with tools like Selenium WebDriver, Maven/Gradle, Cucumber, JUnit/TestNG, Git, and asserts.
• Awareness of the testing pyramid and continuous improvement mindset.
• Familiarity with test automation framework setup and CI/CD pipelines.
