This role is key to the success of our business unit and will be a strong connector between the different teams, such as Sales, Product, Finance and Legal. We are looking for a senior profile that can own and drive the pricing strategy going forward for our new product portfolio, an ideal situation for implementation and iteration. At a later stage we will also apply these learnings into our current product portfolio.
Your role will create a framework to simplify the pricing model, make it commercially attractive and competitive, whilst maximizing our profit margins.What You'll Do
Formulate the pricing vision and strategy going forward
Shape a new framework where the commercial, finance and legal teams can work in an efficient way, reducing customization and ad hoc constructions, hence reducing time
Work together with finance to get clear dashboards and data points of our pricing models
Get a strong view of the competitive landscape working close with the product marketeers and sales
Work together with our product managers and product marketing teams to define competitive value-based pricing for new and existing products and services
Train our sales teams & partners in our pricing models
Lead the implementation of the new pricing model
Maintain and update pricing documentation in the database
Support Business Controllers and Financial Analysts in mining pricing information data for tracking and analysis
Build new proposals to address complex non-standard deal structures
Experience in a SaaS environment
Degree in Economics, MBA preferred but not required
A passion to lead and proactively push things forward
The ability also to assess all the different inputs & dynamics from stakeholders, and to propose the best course of action into pricing that will give us the biggest likelihood of success
Commercially savvy business acumen, common sense, and interpersonal skills to practically apply this expertise to real-world situations.
Financial knowledge with at least 8 years of experience in a pricing or similar role
Ability to think strategically = get to “the story behind the numbers”
Excellent analytical skills, as well as writing and presentation skills, are essential
A successful Pricing Analyst has the mental agility to reconcile the often conflicting requirements of good Governance (minimizing the risks of the company), compelling commercial offerings (winning the business versus highly skilled and motivated competitors), and being easy to work with
Bring people together and make them work effectively towards a common goal, through influencing in a multi-functional team setting as opposed to hierarchical settings.
