Marketing Rewards

Marketing Rewards is our marketing platform to drive high-value user actions and delight our customers with rewards and incentives. This is a multi-channel and multi-platform product and our team is on a mission to spin up the flywheel of marketing initiatives across all business product verticals.

This requires the best in class product, technology infrastructure and machine learning capabilities. The Marketing Rewards organisation is in charge of achieving this. We have a diverse group of software engineers, data scientists, product managers to make all this possible.

Senior Engineering Manager - Marketing Rewards

We are searching for an experienced and technology driven senior manager to lead engineering managers and teams in their scope. You will be directing all aspects of the engineering function, provide technical guidance, ensure future-proof architecture and sound engineering procedures are in place and consistent with the rest of Alongside an Engineering Director, you will also be responsible for ensuring that the team is high performing, that talent is identified and developed, any skills gaps and key resources are identified and planned for in good time for the organisation's success.

  • Lead, inspire, grow and develop software engineers and managers
  • Effectively collaborate with stakeholders
  • Track teams performance and their continuous improvement, roadmap progress, identifying, resolving or timely escalating blockers
  • Org design, plan and manage hiring efforts
  • Take end to end ownership of everything engineering function
  • Reduce TOIL, business continuity risks and bus factor
  • Lead teams and engineers to address live production issues on a 24x7 basis, track incidents and contribute to postmortem processes.
  • Continuously improve systems reliability and scalability
  • Develop tactical and propose strategic plans, influence stakeholders to reach an alignment

Skills and Qualities

  • 8+ years experience building software applications by using various software development languages and applying systems design knowledge
  • 3+ years experience leading engineering managers and responsible for production infrastructure
  • Experienced developing e-commerce products, commercial mindset, seek to maximize business impact
  • Strong communication, collaboration and organizational skills, team player and fast learner
  • Passionate about people and technology, servant leader

Ideal candidate

  • Has experience building offline and online rewards and incentives systems/products
  • Has experience with AWS cloud services
