In this role, you have the opportunity to

Disrupt Image Guided Therapy. In this role as Director Supply Chain and Customer Services in the new business venture ‘FORS’, you have the opportunity to disrupt MedTech and make a real difference for patients. You will be driving all activities to get this breakthrough solution manufactured, delivered, installed and maintained at our launching customers. The proposition is new to the world and a crucial step in our IGT purpose of treating patients better by innovating minimally invasive procedures. Since the FORS technology is still early stage it’s today only accessible for a limited number of customers who all play a pivotal role in maturing the technology and are all recognized as leaders by the clinical community; we value these customers as our clinical partners. In your role you have the full responsibility to secure that, based on their experience with the FORS technology and our supporting team, all these clinical partners naturally act as ambassadors of the FORS program, while in parallel prepare for further scaling the supply chain and services delivery of the solution .

You are responsible for

  • Developing a new profitable business by delivering high value to our customers together with the other members of the integral management team
  • Implementation, improvement and execution of sales and operations planning, operationally managing the supply chain in a network-based supply chain.
  • Cost of Sales and Inventory
  • Implementing and improving a network-based services and solutions delivery model leveraging the Philips Services and solutions delivery organization
  • Transition of the SC&CS organization with an initial focus on creation of delivery models (year 1-2) to operational execution and continuous improvement (year 3-5). Preparing for transition to final landing spot.
  • Responsible for Industrialization and Customer Services Innovation of new products (PDLM)
  • Driving engagement and performance in a non-hierarchical delivery model
  • Managing the global operational team of the FORS supply chain, the service engineers and on site clinical application specialists and through them manage the high-tech, complex global supply chain and all operational activities at customer sites
  • Formulating the future strategic directions for integrated supply chain and customer services in close corporation with Business Development & strategic sales, R&D and Strategic Purchasing
  • Being perceived as a senior with thorough understanding en experience of the entire End2End Orde2Cash cycle

You are a part of

As one of the four business clusters of Philips, Image Guided Therapy (IGT) is focusing on diagnostics and therapy in the cardio-vascular domain, spanning the imaging guidance systems business and the therapy delivery business, strengthened through recently acquired companies like Volcano, Spectranetics and EPD Solutions. The overall strategy of IGT is to create an integrated clinical solutions business that supports customers throughout the entire minimally invasive procedure and beyond. Within IGT initiatives that develop a new business are separated from the running business by organizing them in corporate ventures. In these ventures an entrepreneurial, multidisciplinary team acts as a start-up in the larger corporation, tasked to build new businesses and acquire new skills whilst leveraging the competencies of the broader Philips organization.

The Head of Supply Chain and Customer Service will report directly to the General Manager of the Venture. More about FORS:

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Master in a relevant area (Business education with experience in MedTech/ technology environment or Technology education combined with a business master)
  • At least 15 years of working experience in the field of supply chain and/or customer services, preferably in MedTech.
  • Rich experience in designing, improving and successfully executing in above domain with proven results
  • Innovative mindset & entrepreneurial spirit, hands-on approach
  • Passionate personality with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical and conceptual skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
