The Department of Earth Systems Analysis at the University of Twente invites candidates for a lecturer position to extend and strengthen the department's teaching activities in the fields of geological remote sensing and mineral spectroscopy. The department combines Earth science knowledge with spatial modeling and advanced remote sensing to understand Earth processes in space and time. Our education and research contribute to the sustainable use of energy and Earth resources and help reduce the impact of natural hazards on society.
We are looking for a dynamic lecturer who will cooperate with colleagues in the geological remote sensing domain on various educational activities. You will organize and deliver training courses in the field of geological remote sensing and mineral spectroscopy. These courses will run in-house and abroad for diverse clients, including professionals from the mining and exploration industry. The development of new and state-of-the-art teaching material will also be part of the work. You will participate in the teaching of courses offered by the department in the Master of Science program "Geo-information Science and Earth Observation" of the faculty of ITC, especially in the specialization on "Applied Remote Sensing for Earth Sciences."
Candidates should have a good understanding of the field of geological remote sensing and mineral spectroscopy. You have the ambition to develop your competencies & skills further and to transfer your knowledge and experience to students and professionals.
