As a IT Squad Lead for Planning squad, you’ll be responsible for being the servant leader of a Squad with Functional Engineers, Technical Engineers, Developers, Test Automation Engineer and Product Architect.

The Planning Squad also support Day to Day Operations across the Globe solving incidents in our Operational Systems. You will be a member of the O2C - Industrial Operations Tribe and report to the Tribe Lead of O2C – Industrial Operations. You will be a member of the Planning Squad with 8-10 members.

What you’ll do

The Squad Lead is a squad member and next to that a servant leader, which includes the scrum master role. (S)he has following areas of responsibility:

  • Expert in the Product domain of the Squad and contributing in the Sprints. Depending on personal skills and experience, these contributions can be in the area of architecture, solution design, scrum process, tooling, estimating, vendor management, service operations or managing alignment with other squads and tribes.

  • Teacher and role model for the Agile Operating Model. Coaches people, triggers and contributes to continuous improvement.

  • Takes care of people on the human aspects as well as their professional development by coaching, providing feedback, mentoring, creating growth-opportunities and preventing people to stay too long in their comfort zone. Facilitates resolution of issues between Squad Team members.

  • Representative of the squad or scrum-team in leadership meetings and escalations.

  • Leads by example in squad effectiveness, efficiency, continuous improvement and quality of work at daily stand-ups

Key Challenges & Complexity

  • Although your location is in Europe this is a global role. You will interact with IT and business stakeholders globally.

  • Coming years, the supply chain planning area will move from SAP APO towards SAP IBP. Big part of the challenge is to ensure the quality and support the speed in the transfer done by several project teams in parallel.

  • You will be one of the squad Leads in the O2C – Industrial Operations tribe. Together with your peer Squad Leads you will build, run and own the IT landscape for Industrial applications. Together with your peers you will lead by example and drive agility in the IT organization as well in the corresponding business organizations.

  • You are required to have knowledge on integration aspects outside your Squad, business processes as well as IT technology.

  • You will work with various stakeholders in the business with a wide variety of business priorities.

Your qualifications

Open minded, curious and innovative and aligned with our company values and aims and you bring the following experiences and competencies:

  • At least 5 years of experience in IT Leadership position leading 8-10 people in a global organization

  • Business Process Experience in the areas of global Supply chain management and Operations

  • Experience with and knowledge on SAP APO/IBP

  • Experience with 3rd party tools like Koolog and DRP are key differentiators

  • Proven track record in Agile/Scrum and DevOps, experience in Project management

  • People and process oriented leadership style with agile mind-set and can-do mentality

  • Good communication, presentation and consulting skills.

  • Team player
