Senior Financial Analyst NN Life & Pension

With your experience in the (preferably Dutch) insurance industry and your talent for analysing financial results, you are the perfect fit for our team. Will you help us bring NN’s liability reporting to a higher level?

This job offers you a monthly salary with a maximum of €6009 (based on a 36-hour week), depending on your knowledge and experience.

Your impact as a Sr. Financial Analyst at NN Life & Pensions

You will have a crucial role in the liability reporting of NN Life & Pensions. Next to the regular tasks for related to the quarterly Solvency II and IFRS reporting, you will support in change projects such as the implementation of IFRS 17.

Your responsibilities

  • You analyse financial results and deliver high quality financial reports, supporting the quarterly Solvency II and IFRS reporting process
  • You contribute to the implementation of IFRS 17
  • You clarify results to our stakeholders, including senior management
  • You coach your junior colleagues and bring their financial reporting skills to a higher level
  • Besides reporting and implementing, you drive changes proactively with new ideas about our analysing processes

Your colleagues

Within NN Life and Pensions we have three liability reporting teams, of which the PNB Liability Reporting focusses on the New Business portfolios. The team consists of about 12 professionals with actuarial and/or accounting backgrounds. There is a mix of Dutch and non-Dutch speaking team members, which means that most communication is done in English. Day in and day out, we are eager to learn from one another. Besides working closely together within the team, we also collaborate with teams within the Finance or Risk departments.

Who you are

Analysing and reporting financial results gives you energy, and you happen to be very good at it. After you analyse the portfolio developments, trend and issues that might occur, you know how to communicate and make our stakeholders understand the results. With a set of critical eyes, you are always looking for improvement. Within our processes, but also within yourself and your team. Therefore, you enjoy coaching the juniors in your team. You share your own knowledge with pleasure, because you know that you will achieve more when working together. Furthermore, you have:

  • 5 to 10 years of reporting experience in the (preferably Dutch) insurance industry
  • A master’s degree in the quantitative field (e.g. Econometrics, actuarial sciences, mathematics, finance)
  • Knowledge and experience in Solvency II and preferably IFRS 17

Due to Covid-19, NN colleagues are still working from home most of the time and we are preparing for a combination of working from home (or anywhere else) and at the office.
