In this role, you have the opportunity to
Be a part of the Philips Healthcare Benelux Clinical science team to drive Philips CT clinical research and development program through collaborations and support the Benelux business via clinical and technical research projects with luminary customers.
You will (proactively) support the sales process from a clinical science perspective in the CT domain.
You are the clinical subject matter expert in the CT domain and portfolio and feel challenged in building strong trust-based relationships with our (clinical) customers / users.
You enjoy being a team player of the Benelux Precision Diagnosis team and will closely work together with e.g. the Modality Sales Specialists, Project Manager, Technical Support Engineers and Clinical Application Specialists.
You are responsible for
Establish a network of contacts in clinical and scientific CT community.
Management of research collaborations including developing and maintaining research project roadmaps.
Keep up to date with innovations in CT technology and medical applications in area of clinical expertise, via scientific literature, symposia, and international conferences.
Develop in-depth knowledge on Philips’ CT technology.
Be able to run the Philips’ CT scanners (incl. workstations) independently, and do patient/volunteer scanning.
Be actively involved in research projects, both within Philips and with academic and clinical partners.
Collaborate with medical doctors and physicists of selected (Clinical Science/Reference) sites in evaluating new clinical applications of CT.
Advise and assist the Benelux CT engineering, sales and applications teams.
Advise colleagues in Product Marketing and Applications on new technical and clinical developments, and assist in writing commercial and technical documents.
Advise colleagues in R&D department on new technical and clinical developments.
Assist during in-house testing of prototype hardware and software.
Interact with Clinical Scientists, academics, and clinical staff to provide first-line support for research related questions on external sites.
Participate in customer presentations and demonstrations.
Regularly visit Clinical Science / Reference sites and conferences: discuss innovations with medical doctors, report on new developments, collect new marketing collateral’s.
Write white papers, Works-in-Progress brochures, leaflets, slides, video materials, etc. on new clinical applications.
You are a part of
An enthusiastic and professional Benelux team with a passion for their job. You are based in Eindhoven but are on the road most of the time. Your focus are the hospitals in the Benelux (Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg).
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Ph.D. degree in physics, chemistry, biomedical engineering or other relevant technical background (candidates with M.Sc. degree in above mentioned areas, complemented with at least 5 years of relevant experience in CT might also qualify based on individual skills, publication record and personality)
Doctoral thesis or series of scientific publications on CT related topic
Experience in a clinical environment
Experience of clinical application of CT in a hospital environment would be advantageous
Proven computer-programming skills. Language C++ and Matlab are desirable.
Proven writing and teaching skills
Social skills (interaction with customers, other departments, sales organization)
Highly communicative to members of multidisciplinary team with various skill sets
Strong analytical and experimental skills, independent problem solver
Languages: fluent English in writing and speaking, preference for Dutch and French.
Prepared for frequent Benelux traveling
Experience on Philips CT systems would be highly desirable
