Business Process Director - Sales

Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to

- Develop, build and deploy standardized business capabilities in the commercial domain, for different capabilities/positions: sales process for SaaS; territory management; incentive compensation management; funnel management; and account management.

- Be the process custodian, safeguarding standard ways of working, sharing best practices and successes, driving adoption and maturity growth through continuous improvement

- Drive process performance in close collaboration with business stakeholders to ensure business objectives are achieved.

You are responsible for

• Defining an end to end sales process that represents the voice of customer, businesses, markets, functions, countries, regulators, and other key stakeholders

• Developing new and optimizing existing capabilities in the commercial domain: Processes (how we work and organize), People (how we attract and develop people competencies), Tools (required to execute our processes) and Data (for execution, reporting and analytics)

• Developing and deploying new commercial capabilities, either through End2End programs, Hoshin or through small targeted initiatives

• Prioritizing the design of the sales processes (including resource allocation) based on the agreed compliance requirements, business requirements, and the underpinning IT

• Designing the processes and ensuring alignment with the underpinning IT applications incl. relevant process performance metrics & KPI’s and compliance requirements and controls

• Working closely with the IT Business Architects, Scrum Masters, and SME’s to ensure the design is accurately reflected in the IT solutions

• Participates in IT solution development projects in providing clear business objectives and specific business requirements, participating in high-level project planning, and providing approvals needed at each Quality gate.

• Participating in the software validation process and developing testing scenarios

• Preparing for change management, business go-live readiness during the Deploy phase

• Monitoring of the process during deployment particularly as part of initial pilots to ensure all elements of the design work as expected and incorporate feedback into the process/tool and training design before mass deployment

• Actively shares knowledge and best practices through Communities of practice (CoP) and helps to solve systemic problems driving impact, maintaining BPE and Subject Matter Expert/Key User bi-directional engagement in their respective domain

You are a part of

The global Market to Order Business Process Excellence program, a portfolio of End-to-End transformation programs, part of Accelerate!, driving sustainable improvement of commercial and marketing capabilities across Philips.

Specific Market to Order activities are downstream Marketing and Sales.

As part of a diverse and virtual core team you will support the Markets and Business Groups in different areas like commercial capability building and talent and competency development.

The Corporate Center is located in the Netherlands and is virtually connected to the Commercial Organization in the 17 markets.

This role is on a Director level and reports to the Business Process Owner for Market to Order

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Master’s degree
  • Significant working experience as business process expert and in process design in the commercial domain
  • Solid understanding of Sales Processes
  • Familiarity with Lean, Hoshin, Problem Solving, Daily Management, resolving complex issues in creative and effective ways
  • Pragmatic business acumen, understanding the value of standard work and with the ability to design, deploy and manage standard work for relevant business processes
  • Strong communicator, able to interact frequently with customers, stakeholders, subject matter experts and functional peer group members inside and outside Philips and at different levels
  • Team player able to participate, support or lead in projects or other collaborative efforts depending on the situation
  • Outstanding influencing skills
  • Structured, organized and stress resilient personality able quickly to understand the issues and bring together necessary resources to resolve them
  • Self-starter who values impact over effort and motivated to drive performance
  • Willing to travel internationally up to 20% of the time in the post covid scenario
  • Fluent in English
