Senior Lead System Engineer

Job Description

In this role you have the opportunity to

Have overall technical leadership and responsibility from initiation to realization of full system releases in a new products’ family.

You are responsible for

  • Lead full product release from initial stages to life cycle management as the main technical leader.

  • Elicit user and business requirements and translate into product requirements.

  • Manage complexity in a multi-disciplinary and international set-up.

  • Oversee that the requirements and design are implemented correctly by the Engineering team

  • Drive design efforts for quality, safety, reliability, serviceability & cost.

  • Lead cross-discipline feasibility studies, tradeoff analysis and cross sub-systems problem solving.

  • Support regulatory submissions activities to comply with all applicable medical standards/regulations.

  • Support life cycle management, complaint investigations and post market surveillance activities.

  • Contributes to future studies, technical concepts and program roadmap of a new products’ family.

You are a part of

The Philips business CT/AMI develops, manufactures, markets, and sells Computed Tomography products worldwide. Next to being diagnostic imaging modality, CT scanners are now used in interventional procedures, either stand alone or in combination with other imaging modalities.

System Engineering will be working closely together with SE from IGT (image guided therapy) and Philips Engineering Solutions. You will report to the Sr. Manager, Systems Engineering.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to empower and influence without the need to exercise authority

  • B.Sc. in Electrical/Mechanical/Softwareengineering/Physics/other relevant degree. MSc is an advantage

  • At least 7 years of technical experience in a development team prior to becoming a system engineer

  • At least 7 years of intensive experience as a System engineer in a regulated field (Medical, Aerospace, etc.)

  • Proven experience (5 yrs)in leading a team of system engineers/developers in a corporate & global environment

  • Fluent English
