Main Job Purpose:
Part of the Supply Chain family, Procurement is responsible for over 30B Euro of material and services spend globally with more than 60,000 suppliers, over half of them in MBS. Getting the right services and materials, sustainably sourced and ensuring responsible procurement is critical to ensuring our brands with purpose grow. Our teams work closely with the business to understand stakeholders needs, bring innovation to meet changing consumer, employees’, and customers’ needs, and drive financial value for Unilever through competitive buying. We’re at the forefront of digital procurement, bringing new tools and analytics to drive data-based decisions.

MBS, Unilever’s Marketing and Business Services Procurement team, is responsible for Unilever’s sourcing and supplier strategy and execution for all third party spend across Marketing, Business Services, and IT, supporting the business requirements of Brands, Divisions, Markets, and functions to drive 4G growth through strategic supplier management, cost and value management, sustainability, and innovation, aligned with Unilever’s Compass. The team manages an annual spend of ~9B Euro with a supplier base of about 40,000.
Within MBS, the Assistant Strategic Sourcing Manager - Business Services , Workforce Management is responsible for supporting the sourcing strategy development, implementation, and procurement of external workforce (contingent labour, consultancy, finance, legal, recruitment). The Workforce Management spend is €800Mn globally and this role will be reporting to the Portfolio Strategy Lead Workforce Management. This role will be responsible for sourcing for Sub-Portfolio of Workforce Management for global project and will support the development of strategy.
The role will need to foster and build a culture of collaboration and support excellent execution of our strategies while fostering deep relationships with our stakeholders and suppliers.
Development on the global strategy/playbook to be executed by PMU
Working closely with Key PMU stakeholders and Strategic Sourcing Manager to develop and deliver market specific portfolio strategies
Regular connect with strategic sourcing team worldwide for project update, best practice sharing, etc.
Working with Strategic Sourcing Manager, Portfolio Lead, regional stakeholders, and supplier ops to determine preferred supplier listings and agreeing rate cards for regional suppliers
Negotiation on the allocated sourcing projects and ensuring that we are driving best outcome (Savings as well as best in class contracting terms) for our stakeholders and finishing the sourcing process as per the defined timelines.
Regular connect with key suppliers for project update, governance and potential collaboration or development base on industry best practice
Ensuring contractual commitments are in place and signed off by stakeholders, legal and finance as appropriate
Manage escalation issues arising from and seek help from Strategic Sourcing manager or Portfolio lead as needed
Ensuring that stakeholders are complying to company policy and guidelines, providing tips and tools to help local buying in markets where procurement resource is unavailable
3+ years of procurement experience (Indirect Procurement experience will be preferred)
Knowledgeable in Sourcing, negotiation and contracting
Understanding of supply market, value chain, and FMCG knowledge. Knowledge of Workforce and other business services portfolios is a strong plus.
Experience in supplier relationship management
Experience on large-scale and multi country project management
Knowledge of Unilever business systems is a plus i.e., Coupa, CLM, SRS and Aravo,
as well as Analytical tools (Excel, PowerBI)
MBA or a professional degree of finance will be preferred.

International travel might be required. Not projected to require more than 10% -15% on average
