Software Developer

Job DescriptionIn this role you have the opportunity to

Innovate lung cancer care. Our goal is to shorten the care pathway, improve outcomes and reduce costs with imaging and navigation solutions for diagnosis and minimally invasive therapy.

As a talented, self-steering software developer in a small and entrepreneurial team, you contribute to ideation, development and maintenance of advanced solutions for image guided interventional pulmonology.

You are responsible for

As a software developer Lung Venture, you are

  • Responsible for requirements, design, implementation, test and integration of a medical software unit or - application in accordance with the higher-level requirements, - architecture, and UX guidelines.

  • Provide technical solutions that conform to requirements with a strong focus on end-users (medical professionals), user experience, high quality (QMS/regulatory standards), performance, and safety.

  • Understand and communicate the consequences of his/her design on the application, and ensuring that there is proper test-coverage and documentation for the developed software

  • Being involved in cutting edge technology and development practices and mentoring the rest of the team in these areas

  • Perform work in line with the processes that have been agreed in the department

  • Contribute to (SW-) technology roadmaps and other strategic related activities

You are a part of

The Lung Venture development team, a small team with a strong focus on growing our business through innovation technology and solutions. The Lung Venture is part of the Clinical Science, Innovation and Business Development department inside the Image Guided Therapy Systems business unit. Our customers are interventional pulmonologists and thoracic surgeons, diagnosing and treating lung cancer.

As a Software Developer Lung Venture, you will report in the Lung Venture lead.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
  • Bachelor or master’s degree in computer science / Software Engineering;

  • 5+ years extensive C# .NET programming, development and design experience

  • Affinity with user interfaces and 3D visualization, with WPF experience being a bonus

  • Proven track record in defining and maintaining complex software

  • Experience of working in healthcare is an advantage

  • Familiar with Agile (SAFe) methodologies, tools and practices is an advantage

  • Good command of the English language
