Fosters alignment of Innovation portfolio components with the strategic objectives and priorities of the organization. In doing so, the Innovation and Portfolio Manager establishes a portfolio management plan to support effective decision-making. Performs continuous analysis and monitoring of portfolio components to identify issues, risks, and opportunities for value improvement. Defines the R&D budgets in the sub portfolios up to cluster level in line with guidance. Portfolio Managers strive to balance and optimize the portfolio to achieve strategic portfolio objectives. Seek opportunities to increase value and reduce waste. Possesses the advanced business knowledge and specialized domain competencies to enable organizational agility and success. Drives the continuous improvement of Innovation PFM, in domain and also within Philips (for example in the CoP and CoE). Adds value by challenging the status quo and by mentoring and supporting colleagues.
You are responsible for
Aligns strategic portfolio components (Sub portfolios; Cluster/Business level programs, initiatives, projects, and operations) with organizational strategic objectives, goals, and priorities (including impact of innovation through M&A and partnerships).
Ensures maximum value of the portfolio (incl lifecycle) by optimizing the cost-benefit ratio of individual components and exploiting synergy opportunities of the total portfolio (eg platforming and reuse). Value also in line with Quadruple Aim and ensuring right mix across horizons (focus horizon (2) Strategic Plan and (3) 3-5 Year Vision).
Drives Portfolio Performance including the activities required for
managing the portfolio using the portfolio processes. Continuously monitors and evaluates the performance of the consolidated portfolio components in order to balance the portfolio; and reports on progress towards the achievement of strategic objectives (closing the learning loop).
Balances and manages portfolio risk consistent with the risk appetite of the organization and facilitates decision-making. Assurance of high quality risk management in the sub portfoli’s in line with predefined risk appetite.
Continuously communicates with stakeholders; understanding their needs and expectations; addressing issues as they occur; managing conflicting interests; and fostering appropriate stakeholder engagement in portfolio decisions and activities.
Facilitates the Innovation PFM process and ensures that Philips
Excellence Process Framework and Philips Integrated IT landscape for I2M (Planisware, Clarity, Qlickview, SAP) is applied and used in the sub portfolios.

The PMO (Project Management Office) group, a part of the Electronic Medical Record & Care Management software business.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Master’s Degree (MBA desired).
At least five years experience in software development project management.
Ability to work across multiple business domains, clusters and markets to drive, support and realize business goals.
Strong strategic/critical thinking skills with decision-making judgment.
Ability to build/bridge key relationships and manage complex inter-dependencies.
Effective communication, listening and influencing abilities, proven change management skills.
