In this role, you have the opportunity to
create new components and devices to the premium Philips MRI systems and bring existing components to the next state of the art, together with Marketing, (user) Experience design and Workflow experts. This is a leading role, we need roadmaps, research, design studies as well as pragmatic and hands-on behavior in projects and short-term developments. Your scope will be on the total lifecycle of components/devices; from your first ideas to launching it to global markets, defining how LCM is performed, looking to the afterlife of those products as well as quality/performance increases and productivity ideas.
You are responsible for
Designing, realizing (schematically, via drawings and documents), integrating and testing of sub-systems, components or modules on the basis of design specifications in accordance with the functional specifications.
Taking products from concept through design into production using DfX (FMEA,DFMA etc) approaches to meet the needs of our customers and their demanding environment. You will do this together with a HW Architect and the Systems Engineering department.
Creating documentation in order to create predictability, reliability and traceability as an essential part of our design process flow
You are a part of
The Business Unit, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) within Philips Healthcare. The Business Unit MRI is responsible for marketing, product development and lifecycle management of 1.5T and 3T High end and Mid-range performance. In the MR Development group, you will create innovation as a part of the Hardware Research & Development group Patient Centric Subsystems. This group consists of roughly 25 academic mechanical/electrical engineers; you will work together with several other groups in-house, but also abroad.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Degree qualified in electrical engineering or similar.
Lead engineer experience in the process to release components for production in a medical or other highly regulated environment, including co-development with suppliers.
Experienced in Mixed signal electronics, power supplies, testing.
Modeling and simulation of electronic designs (Matlab/Simulink, Spice) and E-CAD experience.
Leadership skills. Such as in process-creativity, prioritization, presentation and negotiation skills,
Get-things-done mentality is necessary to get your project or projects done efficient and faster than the original timeline.
