Here at Just Eat, we serve fantastic food to around 100 million active users worldwide. With customers from Amsterdam to Zwolle, our Dutch brand ( is one of our biggest European markets and our longest-standing international brand.

As a global food delivery powerhouse, we need to attract and retain the biggest chains across our international markets. That’s the focus of our expert Strategic Accounts department.

All about the role

As our Strategic Account Lead: NL, you will lead a new team focused on managing and attracting the biggest chains for our Dutch brand ( In addition to managing accounts, you will bring in exciting new chains and help build a dedicated approach that is tailored to maximising their success with us.

Your interpersonal skills will be vital in this position. As a natural leader, you can effectively coach your team members, successfully onboarding them and supporting them in a range of account management activities. You will also align with the Regional Manager on improvements for your chain portfolio and set sales targets for your team.

To take our strategic accounts to the next level in the Netherlands, you will also:

  • Be responsible for the HQ-level acquisition and account management activities for our Global partners in NL
  • Lead or participate in negotiations & sign country framework agreements and/or franchisor contracts with our partners
  • Act as a ‘Trusted Advisor’ by initiating, building & developing long-term relationships with all strategic accounts on country HQ level
  • Cater to any special requirements that chains have (product features, analytics, co-branding, reporting, invoicing)
  • Track and analyse market developments and competitor activity
  • Analyse and optimise processes to increase sales performance
  • Develop Joint Business Plans and drive regular business/performance review meetings
  • Represent the Global Strategic Account team within Country Management, facilitating cross-department cooperation & acting as an escalation point for complex issues
  • Be the ‘voice of the customer’, building a strong cross-functional network (e.g. working with Product, Customer Services, Marketing) to provide your chains with the best service
Can you deliver…

Here are the skills and experience we need from you:

  • 6+ years’ experience in sales roles, including 3+ years’ in key account management
  • Natural leadership skills & 2+ years’ experience in a lead/management role
  • University degree in Management, Economics or similar
  • Proven track record of making commercially sound, data-driven decisions
  • A customer-focused and innovative outlook, optimising work processes across your job
  • Able to generate new ideas, find opportunities and act decisively in an agile and ever-changing environment
  • Comfortable working independently and a strong sense of responsibility
  • Able to absorb information quickly and deliver at pace
  • Fluent Dutch and English (written & spoken) and excellent communication skills
