ITSM Pre-sales Solutions Engineer

As our offices re-open, Atlassians can choose to work remotely or return to an office, unless it’s necessary for the role to be performed in the office. Atlassian is looking for a passionate Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer committed to solving our hardest customer problems and closing our largest enterprise deals.

In the role of Sr. ITSM Solutions Engineering Consultant, you will help Atlassian to disrupt the current ITSM market space and uncover additional business capabilities by helping prospects & customers to qualify, purchase & deploy Atlassian ITSM solutions through a discovery-driven consultative approach. Our Senior Consultants are technology and process champions, demonstrating thought leadership to frame the customer's strategic direction, propelling our customer's team past their hurdles, unlocking additional value for the Enterprise, and bringing outcomes into full focus. Through partnership with other Atlassian Team members, you will utilize your knowledge and experience in the area of Pre-Sales & IT Service Management to deliver value through prescriptive insights and methodologies. You will help our strongest promoters showcase their success to their peers, and serve as the tip of the spear in growing the reach of our technologies for new use cases and markets

Key responsibilities include:

  • In collaboration with partner and Atlassian Sales teams to investigate, discover and assess client pain points; map client business and technical requirements to Atlassian capabilities
  • Configure and deliver deeply compelling presentations to customers and prospects, clearly communicating the value and differentiation of Atlassian while showing how we unlock latent business value & solve for the business challenges
  • Contribute to Atlassian’s thought leadership including representing Atlassian at conferences, partner training and contributing to Community of knowledge such as white papers, analyst briefings or blog posts.

More about you:

We’re looking for a dynamic team member who will both teach and learn from all of us on the Solutions Engineering & Product teams. On paper, you have 5-7 years of experience interacting with enterprise customers in a pre-sales, consulting, or delivery capacity, within the ITSM, ITBM & DevOps solution spaces. Most importantly, you are a creative problem solver who can interpret complex problem statements, boil them down into compelling value-centric solutions, and collaborate with prospects, channel partners, and the Atlassian sales team to accelerate the buyers' journey. You’re equally comfortable in both a business and technical context, interacting with C-level executives or talking shop with strong technical audiences. You love to learn, are open to giving and receiving feedback, tolerate failure, love to win, hate to lose, and are passionate about making clients successful.
