As a Data analyst you can make a difference by transforming data into compliance knowledge to bring more insights on trends, to give insight by doing forensic data analytics on core banking data and to support the business with you expertise on data. In this role you introduce new innovation possibilities and data access opportunities to bring the data as much as possible into the compliance organisation.
Making a difference
Analyzing, with the newest data techniques, different kinds of data like fraud and AML case data, transaction and client data and also employee data.
Making the right visualizations and reports of the data with which you are telling a compliance story to decision makers. By doing so the decision makers have a good overview about the different scenarios and make well considered, fact based decisions.
Searching for the needle in the data haystack in forensic investigations. In some situations we are asked to give the necessary forensic information or we want to do an in-depth investigation ourselves. In these situations you can provide evidence or new insights from a data perspective.
Reporting with Tableau and Power BI. We are in the middle of a transition of reports with Tableau to reports with Power BI. You will help in the transition by rebuilding the reports
Liaising with multiple stakeholders within the whole Rabobank organisation, locally and globally, such as IT, Business, Compliance and (KYC) Operations to ensure effective management of requirements by actively seeking possibilities related to data analysis and reporting for compliance purposes.
Collaborating closely with the IT data scrum teams to share your requirements regarding the data and the cloudbased data lab environment.
Complying with the data policy and data architecture Rabobank to organise data management in a controlled way.

Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. Our Internal and Regulatory Investigations (IRI) / Reporting and systems Team brings talented people together dedicated to collect the source data, conduct and coordinate complex data analysis and reporting safeguarding Rabobank’s adherence to compliance requirements, rules and regulations. The Financial Economic Crime unit is the global expertise center within Compliance. Its Internal and Regulatory Investigations Team has a key role in the promotion and safe-guarding of Rabobank’s integrity and reputation. Together with your colleagues you determine which data is needed, collect the data, combine the data and analyse the data. The team takes care of a compliance data process with the use of the supporting data systems and analytics tools.
With you as a data analyst the team will consist of 10 diverse colleagues in a variety of roles, including other data analysts, product owners of the information factory and functional support.
In this role you will report to the manager of the IRI / Reportings and Systems Department, within the Financial Economic Crime unit.
Analytical, solution-oriented, meticulous, creative are clearly essential skills for the role of Data analyst. In addition, it's important that you recognize the things in the checklist below:
Minimum education level Bachelor (min HBO IT / analytics )
Knowledge & experience with data analytics tooling (Azure Cloud environment including PowerBI is an advantage).
Knowledge Experience with data analytics in Tableau.
Knowledge of banking products, payments and its related data.
Knowledge of (inter)national risk and regulatory development and compliance themes (AML, fraud, sanctions).
You have good verbal and written communication skills; both in the Dutch and English language.
Perseverance to search the data until you find what you were looking for.

A gross monthly salary between € 3.259,61 and € 4.655,07 (scale 8).
