As part of the Global Core Compliance Organization Support team, you are responsible for driving and facilitating the Compliance’s internal management and to drive, monitor and challenge the progress on the strategic Compliance agenda. By executing all kinds of activities, mainly focused on the Governance, Reporting Processes and Data Management of the Compliance function itself, you as a Senior Compliance Operating Officer contribute to the further positioning, development and strengthening of the Compliance function. Making a difference

Together with your colleagues of the Compliance Organization Support team, you are initiating and directing the further strengthening of the Compliance Governance, Reporting Processes and Data Management culture.

  • Together with your colleagues you ensure the globally consistent business organisation of the Compliance function including but not limited to managing the planning & Control cycle, HR, Communication, Risk Management and reporting.

  • You drive and improve processes related to Global Compliances Reporting, which provides integral view about banks compliance risks, developments, activities and plans to bank management, statutory bodies and regulators. As a senior member of the team you focus not solely on the process, but support the management team in formulating of a clear message.

  • As Rabobank Compliance is increasingly data driven organization, you support professionalization of Data Management processes within the compliance domain and integration of data management processes with the overarching data management organization of the bank.

  • You challenge, support and train the Compliance Management Team and other Compliance colleagues with regard to the mitigation of our operational and compliance risks, methods of reporting and data management.

  • You contribute to a consistent business organization of the Global Compliance Department, including but not limited to the yearly execution of the compliance self-assessment, and the implementation of Policies, Standards and Procedures within de Global Compliance Department.

  • You support the performance of the Compliance function through the development and monitoring of our strategic performance plan and managing the Planning & Control cycle.

  • You recognize potential for improvements and know how to translate these into concrete (change) initiatives and/or process improvements.

  • You are energized by achieving results, together with others and likes to roll up your sleeves.

  • Stakeholder management is self-evident to you and naturally involves people in the intended activities and changes.

  • You actively inform yourself about developments within and outside the Bank and know how to translate this into the Compliance function in a conceptual and practical way.

Our Global Core Compliance Organization Support team is committed to bringing talented people together to strengthen and support the Global Compliance department. Our department joins forces to maintain and strengthen the integrity of Rabobank. We operate in a wide variety of roles. With you as Senior Compliance Operating Officer, our team will consist of 15 colleagues in a variety of roles, divided over four squads.

With you

Customer focus, complex problem solving, organizational sensitivity, partnership and proactivity are clearly essential for the role of Senior Compliance Operating Officer. In addition, it is important that you recognize everything in the checklist below:

  • University degree or equivalent.

  • You have experience (10+ years) within an (international) banking environment (risk management), financial supervisor or regulatory authority.

  • Knowledge and experience on the topics of Risk Management, Planning & Control.

  • Experience with global and complex reporting processes, which integrate significant volume of quantitative and qualitative information.

  • Able to deliver quality under tight timelines.

  • Able to coordinate several processes at the same time, and work hands-on with dedication, persistence and attention to detail.

  • Good understanding and practical knowledge related to Data Management Standards.

  • Knowledge of the conduct and integrity risks pertaining to Rabobank.

  • Knowledge of project management (preferably about Agile / Scrum).

  • Experience as a Lean call (green / black) is an advantage, or you are willing to achieve this.

  • Team player and change agent.

  • You are fluent in English both speaking and writing; knowledge of Dutch is advantage.

  • Experienced in working within an international context.
