Senior Consultant Internal Audit (permanent vacancy)

For our Internal Audit Services practice, we are continuously looking for experienced Internal Auditors to strengthen our practice. In this role, you advise and support domestic and international companies and public organisations on monitoring and managing risks and testing control measures in an increasingly complex environment. You quickly identify how processes can be improved and assist them in achieving effective and controlled business processes and systems.

About the job
You are an advisor and discussion partner for domestic and international clients regarding various parts of their business.
You independently map out complex business processes and risks. You do so on the basis of a thorough audit. You interview stakeholders, perform various analyses and test processes for compliance with, for example, legislation. Based on your audit, you draw up a report and advise your clients on how to run their business efficiently and effectively.
You often work intensively in multidisciplinary teams, which may consist of IT audit experts, sustainability experts and data specialists. This is how we ensure that we can provide maximum added value to our clients and offer them the best guidance. Furthermore, you make a contribution internally to improving our own processes and you work proactively on investing in our relationship with clients. You put forward constructive ideas about expanding our client portfolio and make an active contribution.

In this role, you are constantly working on your development, both at content and soft-skills level (e.g. strengthening your advisory skills). Within our practice, you will work together with experienced auditors at interesting clients within the business market and public sector. You will be supervised and coached during an assignment and we offer you the opportunity to attend regular training sessions.

You will be part of Internal Audit Services. Internal Audit Services is a Line of Service of Risk Assurance.

Who are you?
You are a talented and ambitious professional in the field of financial audit, internal audit and/or risk management and take responsibility for your own career and development. You wish to acquire new knowledge, share your expertise, expand your network and get the best out of yourself and your colleagues.

  • You have completed a business administration or economic university programme and preferably, you have a postgraduate degree (e.g. RO, RA or RE) or you have the CIA certificate.
  • You have preferably gained consulting experience and have experience with internal auditing, internal control (frameworks), risk management and/or the improvement of internal audit functions.
  • You have a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • You speak and write fluent Dutch and English and can easily adapt to new work environments.
  • You are self-reliant, flexible, critical, proactive, innovative and a team player.
  • You have the space and motivation to travel, sometimes domestically and sometimes abroad, if necessary for an assignment.
