Real Estate Group Process Coordinator

This is your daily action

Action is growing and we are opening new stores and adding new countries each year. As Real Estate Group Process Coordinator, you manage the central processes at IHQ for the opening and construction of stores and focus on local country processes in the first stages of entering a new country. This means that you have an international scope of operation, where you are responsible for the overall EU planning of the constructions and support country project teams to execute their tasks. In this position you closely collaborate with departments such as Supply Chain, Procurement, ICT and Store Operations. When entering a new country, you balance your activities between the IHQ processes and making sure that the opening of stores in the new countries runs smoothly. This includes placing and managing the orders with our international suppliers.

On a daily basis, you focus on managing the planning of construction for all countries, where you keep track of the planning for the upcoming months. What is needed and is everyone prepared? You build strong relationships with our suppliers, where you keep track of performances and improve business processes. Furthermore, you are responsible for the planning of non-commercial goods to the stores, including coordination of the rollback of new format elements to all our existing stores. This means aligning with other departments and, as you grow in the job, clarifying responsibilities of everyone involved. The combination of transcending processes and local processes gives you the opportunity to implement new ideas and having close relationships with the local teams.

Meet your team

Our Real Estate department sets Action’s strategy for the continued growth of our organisation. We analyse what countries are the most interesting, what locations are best suited to house our stores and what distribution network needs to be connected. The Acquisition team focuses on finding and leasing store space, the Construction team on building, renovation and maintenance of our stores and the Support team ensures that our teams are supported efficiently. In addition, our department maintains close contact with local real estate teams in each of our countries of operation. Our main priority is the health and safety of our employees and customers. Therefore, due to the Covid-19 pandemic we ask you to work remotely. Whenever possible, the location of this position will return to our international headquarters in Zwaagdijk, where you will have the opportunity to work face-to-face with your colleagues. This also means that all interviews for this position are done digitally via video calls.

This is you

You enjoy working in a dynamic and international work environment where no days are the same, as you switch your focus from local to overarching processes during the day. Due to your social and communication skills, you are able to build strong professional relationships. Furthermore, you have excellent planning skills and enjoy the balance between the social and technical part of the job.

  • Completed bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in or affinity with construction and/or real estate
  • Good command of English
