MAIN JOB PURPOSE
The Category Planning Manager has to build the planning capability of the BPC network to deliver service/inventory/cost/obsoletes across Europe. This will be done by developing and leading an E2E team across the different planning units (MSO, SU, Procurement). The Category Planning Manager should work together with Sus, number of 3PMs, EU export markets including Unilever International and 17 MSOs to ensure close collaboration and perfect execution.
The Category Planning Manager will be responsible - with the team and direct reports - for development and execution of the category planning framework for the network delivering;
Inventory, Customer Service, Responsiveness, Event management, Operational customer connects for SU/MSO, Obsoletes, Deployment of volumes in network and overall capacity planning End to End.
The Category Planning Manager is directly involved in the development of the planning framework.
Category Planning Manager then applies the framework with his SUs and MSO in a consistent way to drive skill development and consistent perfect execution.
Category Planning Manager will be responsible to lead 1-2 workstreams for BPC (eg, inventory workstream, RCCP+ implementation, obsoletes workstream, C4G & innovation workstream)
Accountable for category Plan KPIs (service/inventory/cost/obsolete).
Accountable for monthly RCCPs and quarterly LT RCCPs, preparing for key decisions particularly around risk identification and mitigation like stock builds, overflows etc.
Accountable for Tactical mid-term customer (MSO/SU) connects and ensuring that the network delivers ongoing high-quality communication to all areas of the business.
Development of mid-long-term utilization scenario planning / Network planning.
Accountable for development and deployment of planning programs to drive service, inventory, responsiveness, cost, obsoletes.
Accountable for contingencies.
Allocations for Business Plan & Operational overflows (Service and cost optimized).
Network crisis management.
Co-accountable for innovation implementation (close collaboration with P&I’s, and SU teams).
Feed into innovation capacity decisions (Scenario planning).
Monthly network top loss review (All KPIs) to drive network improvements &
weekly top future risk analysis.
Contribute to developing the planning community skills and competencies
Supply chain (APICS or similar) qualification preferred.
Strong planning skills, or a strong attitude to planning (foresight, accuracy, attention for detail).
Basic financial skills
Preferred: Project management, Planning experience.
Experience Required: 2+ Years in End to End Supply Chain operations. With experience in at least 2 areas from MSO/SU/Procurement/Logistics.
Strong Communication skills.
Strong analytical skills.
Strong in Strategic influencing.
Well-developed ability to build a team/network, train and empower them and hold accountable.
