Especially in the first week as an order picker at Albert Heijn you will be guided by a colleague to learn the job properly. Together and eventually alone, you will collect the online orders from the customers by using a hand scanner. Besides collecting the products, you will also check the quality of the products, their use-by date and of course you will sort the products coming from the AH distribution center. All of this you will do in two departments cold (+5 degrees) and warm (+16 degrees) which changes regularly.
At your workplace, the Home Shop Center, they work in three shifts: from 06:00 AM to 14:00 PM, 14:00 PM to 22:00 PM and 22:00 PM to 6:00 AM and for 7 days a week. For this job it is important that you can work in at least two of those shifts and for 5/6 days a week. Important is that you can work also in the weekend and that you have your own transport to reach the Home Shop Center. It cannot be reached by public transport.
