The mission of Microsoft Digital is to power, protect, and transform Microsoft as the voice of our digital transition in the market.


As part of Microsoft’s Cloud + AI Group, we are responsible for building, managing, and securing the platform, products, processes, and services that powers Microsoft. We build, maintain, and implement a cloud-first approach to our technology and experiences, from custom-built business solutions developing our campus of the future and our productivity and collaboration experiences like Teams and SharePoint, to horizontal 3rd party solutions like SAP and Adobe. Asa member of the PMteam, you will define and create the vision and roadmap forCore WAN networkservices. You will understandyourcustomersgoals and Key Performance Indicator’s (KPI’s) todefine OKRs andmake data driven decisionstodelivertheneeds of our global users. You will design and enable high quality capabilities and scenarios to meet those goals. You will be driving prioritization of critical investments across various teams and stakeholders to deliverhighimpact.


As a Program Manager, you will:

  • Provide service leadership for all aspects ofyourservice - understand the end-to-end flow, and howyour service enables yourcustomers
  • Be customer-focused, striving to understand the true problems that we need tosolve
  • Translate customer, business, technical needs and requirements intospecs that engineering can execute anddeliver, withfocuson live-site services.
  • Create a Plan of Record/roadmap items, proactively identify and manage risks andissues
  • Lead the design of process and technology solutions that enable measurable performance against Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and service level indicators (SLIs) for your program.
  • Evaluate and implement automation, process re-engineering and tooling solutions to increase service stability.
  • Buildand maintain collaborative and effective working relationshipsacross a range of diverse stakeholders with inclusion as apriority
  • Facilitate proactive planning, agreement on cross group delivery plan of record, smooth communication and risk/issue tracking and resolution.
  • Work individually and with teams to drive reliability goals and objectives across services.  
  • Evaluate service feature requests, assist in prioritization, and analyze them for impact to operations and delivery cost.
  • Improve end-user experiences,service delivery, reliability, maturity, and scalability andlower operating costs.


Basic requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Math, Engineering, a related field orrelevantpractical experience
  • 3+ years ofProgram Managementexperience with demonstrated success in leading large-scaleimplementations
  • 3+years of experiencesupporting large-scale enterprisegrade networks,preferably in Routing and WAN connectivity
  • 2+ years of experience working withAgile (Scrum)methodology,driving prioritization, stack ranking, cross team dependency mapping and release/semesterplanning

Preferred requirements:

  • Understanding of networking concepts like OSI Model, WAN connectivity, routing protocols (BGP, ISIS, OSPF), DWDM, circuit types such as MPLSand point-to-point
  • Experience leading a service engineering team, translating customer needs and technical requirements into service architecture.
  • Proven sense of high accountability and self-motivationto take on bigchallenges
  • Demonstrated abilityof managing multiple competing priorities, beorganized and detail oriented; makingdata driven decisionsand result/ROI focuseddelivery
  • Strong cross-organizational collaboration skillsin a highly matrixed organizationto solve challenging business/technology problems,and impact forinfluence 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with senior leaders andcustomers
  • PMI-ACP, PMP, CSMand/or CSPcertification

The ideal candidateis someone who has experience supporting Enterprise Core and WAN networks.Someone who is naturally curious and works well with ambiguity,andable to apply Program Managementprinciples and processesto methodically deliver solutions. Be comfortable being out front and leading, and work in autonomy as required.Capable of making trade-offs to achieve the best outcomes for our customers, stakeholders and Microsoft.
