Azure is at the center of enabling cloud computing for mega scale Microsoft services as well as our public cloud business. The Azure development team is responsible for the design, implementation, and delivery of Azure technology including Compute, Networking, Storage, HPC, Engineering Systems, and Service Fabric.
This is a Principal Software Engineer Manager role in Mark Russinovich’s Azure Office of the CTO Incubations Team. You will work with the team to incubate strategic and high potential projects and technology within the Azure eco-system and across the industry.Responsibilities
Responsibilities include leading and managing a team of software engineers in software and distributed systems engineering, prototyping, design and development of incubation projects from inception through to productization. The team is dedicated to working with the industry and community open sourcing many of our projects. The role includes significant open-source community engagement and contribution.
The ideal candidate will thrive in intense, multitasking, interrupt-driven worlds and enjoy building systems software and working on open-source projects. They must be able to maintain confidentiality and work well with senior management. Strong analytical and interpersonal skills are required, as this candidate must be able to build bridges between groups, providing strong team, community and industry leadership.Qualifications
