In the Bing image search team, we use web-scale, state-of-the-art machine learning, computer vision and NLP techniques to model user queries (text or image) to return content that best satisfies their needs. We take advantage of big data and signals from millions of people across the web to develop global image search/recommendation/browsing experiences in Bing and contribute to other widely used Microsoft products such as Windows and Edge.

Build, analyze and deploy machine learning models to solve real-world classification/ranking problems in areas of Computer Vision, NLP and Search. Covers all stages of ML problem solving including data collection, training, user engagement analysis.
Explore business growth opportunities via exploratory data analysis on large-scale, diverse data.
Design and contribute to metrics for real-world search-related problems such as relevance, diversity, freshness and trustworthiness.
Collaborate with other data scientists, distributed system engineers and product managers to delight users with new web experiences.
Potentially mentor other junior team members.Qualifications
Master or above degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, or similar technical fields.
3+ years of programming experience in general purpose programming languages like C#, C++, Java, Python.
3+ years of experience in recommendation systems / machine learning / computer vision / NLP.
Effective communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
