Azure Cloud Shell (https://shell.azure.com/ ) provides a responsive, highly productive web-based command-line to manage all Azure subscriptions and resources, plus Office and more. We have ambitious plans to grow and improve this highly visible service, which is already used by millions of customers to learn and manage Azure.
We're looking for a talented software engineer to join our friendly, productive, low-drama team. Behind the scenes, we use a wide and growing range of tools, including Azure services, Docker, Kubernetes, Node.js, C# and PowerShell. Design, prototype, implement, test, deploy, monitor and enhance cloud-based software services. Learn from customers, partners and colleagues and apply that learning to solve real-world problems. • 5+ years of software development experience
• Experience with C#, Java, Golang, Rust or C++
• Demonstrable experience building scalable systems with Cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS or Google Compute Engine
• Strong written & oral communication skills
• Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills
• A passion for collaborating in the open on OSS projects
• BS in computer science (or related field)
• Has knowledge of how the web works i.e. REST APIs, Authentication, web stack development
