Enablement Solutions Strategy Manager

A key contributor to partner growth and success, the Global Partner Solutions (GPS) Enablement Team collaborates across product, engineering, and learning to drive Microsoft mindshare and build end-to-end capability and capacity within our partner ecosystem.

The GPS Global Enablement team engages across Microsoft’s Azure, Business Applications, Modern Work, and the Security, Compliance & Identity business groups as well as Worldwide Learning to deliver depth partner capability and capacity at scale through custom global skilling plans designed to meet joint business goals.

This role puts you at the heart of Microsoft’s investment in partner skilling, within one of the world’s largest companies, which drove more than $130 billion+ in revenue last year in the midst of several of the biggest disruptions the technology industry has ever seen. As a member of Microsoft’s GPS Enablement Team, you will drive partner capability through global programs that will fundamentally change the way partner companies are equipped to skill their workforce and play a critical role in driving competitive advantage and significant partner and Microsoft revenue growth. The group broadly focuses on three core activities:

  • Engage with Microsoft’s product business groups to design and deliver valuable partner learning experiences, driving meaningful revenue impact for partners and Microsoft.
  • Deliver Microsoft technical and non-technical skilling capacity and capability scale through remote, always-on and in-person events and learning journeys.
  • Empower Microsoft field teams with the resources to drive local partner engagement with an emphasis on regional and local impact.

As Enablement Solutions Strategy Manager, you are responsible for designing and driving end-to-end strategy and execution of partner skilling and enablement efforts across all Microsoft solution areas (Azure, Business Applications, Modern Work and Security, Compliance and Identity). You will oversee the creation and curation of meaningful learning journey content for multiple partner roles across priority Microsoft solution areas. Your team will leverage a deep knowledge of Microsoft technology to build practice development, technical and sales training content, enabling skilling at scale. In addition, your team will partner with engineering and product teams to create custom and depth technical and sales training events, including bootcamps, for delivery to partners worldwide, driving toward all up GPS Enablement training and certification goals.

You are a dynamic and collaborative leader, comfortable working as a strategic partner across functional teams to define and achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. You are highly effective in executing against strategic planning, aligned to company priorities and managing teams through business planning processes. You work cross-functionally, with key stakeholders, to drive to results. This role will report directly to the Sr. Director of GPS Partner Enablement and requires a high level of executive presence and emotional intelligence to effectively navigate and manage key internal and external stakeholders and positively contribute to the team’s culture as it pursues high growth opportunities at a rapid pace.


  • Design and drive the strategy and approach to Microsoft partner skilling efforts, coordinating your team’s business planning efforts and model and coaching leads as appropriate to drive execution.
  • Be a strategic partner to the Sr. Director of GPS Enablement, leveraging data and qualitative feedback from cross-functional stakeholders to inform overall strategy aligned to company priorities.
  • Oversee strategy of development, delivery and maintenance of technical and sales skilling content specific to core Microsoft products, including Azure, Dynamics 365, Microsoft Teams, Power Platform.
  • Partner with internal leadership, including engineering and product teams, to deliver against shared and business group business plans.
  • Ensure that the content and delivery modalities are aligned with the skilling expectations of business groups and partners.
  • Operate as a strategic leader within an emerging and agile organization, driving your team to scale through efficiencies and innovation.
  • Establish trusted relationships with key executives within portfolio partner and internal Microsoft stakeholders.
  • Develop and grow relationships across organizational boundaries to bring the right resources to market to enable partner success.
  • Deliver consistent business updates to partner and Microsoft business group leadership teams, tracking progress toward shared goals, and clearly identifying areas of opportunity and risk.
  • Collaborate with GPS leadership to drive global technical and sales skilling initiatives.


  • 8+ years program management and experience working with partners.
  • 3+ years as a people manager.
  • Well-regarded people manager with a deep commitment to and track record of up-leveling team members to optimize team performance and output.
  • Experience creating and executing against strategic plans to deliver skills, training, and certification for partners and partner communities is highly encouraged, but not required.
  • Demonstrated success navigating and driving buy-in, cross-functionally, across teams with shared dependencies.
  • Experience executing technical skilling, learning, and enablement programs at scale, across dispersed teams.
  • Experience effectively working across marketing and enablement teams to meet budget, impact and service level agreements.
  • Understanding of Microsoft's priority solution areas (Azure, Business Applications, Modern Work, Security, Compliance and Identity) is encouraged, but not required.
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) and/or experience in relevant fields e.g.: sales, learning, business, marketing, information technology. Master’s degree beneficial.
