A Telco Senior/Principal Solution Architect within the Telco Service line of Microsoft Consulting Services is responsible for delivering high quality cloud native architectural solutions and business outcomes based on the requirements of the customers. Demonstrating deep knowledge of the Telco Solutions and Offerings across the entire life-cycle, together with a critical focus on opportunity management and technical governance, the Telco Senior/Principal Solution Architect drives transformational results and realizes business strategy for both customers and Microsoft Consulting Services.


The Impact You’ll Be Making

The focus of the Telco Senior/Principal Solution Architect role is to drive cloud native Telecoms technology solutions with a deeper focus on integrating the cloud functions, the Telecoms functions using the Azure, the Metaswitch, Affirmed and other NEPs partner technology and Service Offerings. The person shall be an expert in any one or multiple categories

1) Voice solutions, including but not limited to VoNR, VoLTE, UC solutions, IMS solutions. Modern work, meeting and conferencing solutions would also be desired.

2) Packet data solutions and how they are integrated with the cloud offerings and the cloud native architecture.

3) OSS/BSS systems and other management platforms

Azure cloud, Azure MEC, Azure services for Database integration, Application integration and other data integration functions would be an added benefit.

Who We Are Looking For

Business to Technology Strategy:

  • A recognized as an industry thought leader, drives innovation, and defines major business and/or technology strategies for and on behalf of executive owners (customer/partners and Microsoft).
  • Is accountable for customer/partner benefits and value realization in order to optimize the business outcomes of customers, the partners, and Microsoft.
  • Orchestrates the creation and optimization of planning efforts that align with Microsoft’s commitments to customers and partners across Microsoft, and that align with industry and business trends.
  • Gathers feedback from the field and from customers / partners about new technology and business scenarios.
  • Advises relevant product groups accordingly.

Change Leadership and Adoption:

  • Sets strategy for change leadership for customers, partners, and Microsoft.
  • Leads customer/partner adoption and change efforts for a company (either regionally or globally).
  • Fosters calculated risk-taking.
  • Champions change initiatives to customer/partners.
  • Communicates customer/partner outcomes at the portfolio level to subsidiary and/or regional leads and influences the way that other Microsoft teams incorporate these changes.
  • Is viewed as a thought leader in the industry.

Be a Services Role Model:

  • Strengthens and develops multiple customer and partner relationships at the C-suite level and demonstrates the affect that Services professionals have on their businesses

Education, Key Experiences, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Proven success and expertise in architecting innovative solutions primarily in a client-facing role
  • Deep Domain knowledge, ideally with experience in multiple sectors and industries
  • Track record of delivering quality solutions as a technical leader
  • Technical background, with 7+ years of technology-related experience with specific focus on the relevant Domain
  • Bachelor’s degree relevant to Information Technology, Computer Science/Engineering (or equivalent)
