Are you ready to work on the next generation Big Data Analytics cloud engine? Then come work with us! We are the Azure Data teams part of the C+E Azure organization. We are building Big Data Analytics services, like Azure Synapse Analytics, that brings together data integration, enterprise data warehousing, and Big Data Analytics.
Our team is focused on making Apache Spark better. We are looking for developers that are ready to engage with Azure Data customers on their large-scale Spark applications that run on Azure Synapse Analytics. These customer engagements will pave the roadmap of features and performance optimizations in Azure Synapse Analytics, which we then actually build. Azure Data teams present interesting challenges in building reliable, highly scalable and highly performing distributed systems for data analytics on Azure. You will play a central role in creating a planetary scale analytics/storage/indexing system that can provide a unified experience to ingest, explore, prepare, manage, and serve data for immediate BI and machine learning needs. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to be part of a very agile team, take on hard distributed system problems and ship high impact features at a rapid pace. Our code runs on hundreds of thousands of machines!
As an engineer, you have an opportunity to work with Azure Synapse customers on hard problems related to Big Data, apply innovative algorithms for achieving query acceleration and building runtimes that can deal with data at scale. We need collaborative developers who can think big, deliver on those big challenges, and along the way, change the world. We are looking for engineers eager to lean into customer projects and build the next generation Big Data Analytics engine from the ground up. Come join us on the Azure Data team!Responsibilities
