Technical Engineer - M2O Digital - AEM and Magento

We’re looking for a Technical Engineer – M2O Digital – AEM and Magento to join our Market to Order-Digital team in Eindhoven.

As part of the IT Tribe M2O Digital, a Technical Engineer in the M2O Digital domain will implement Digital Marketing solutions and changes in the following areas: Web Content Management (Adobe Experience Manager). The different squads in the M2O Digital tribe also support Day to Day Operations across the globe solving incidents in our Operational Systems. As enabling function, IT supports with process and system improvements to make IT more cost effective.

What you’ll do

  • Contribute technical (and functional) knowledge and skills to the squad allowing the squad to turn user stories into working software to optimize business experience.

  • As member of the squad, be responsible for the overall functionality, quality, performance, security of the Products in scope of the Squad.

  • Translate business requirements, in form of user stories, into IT solutions to optimize business experience.

  • Analyze problems and makes sure that the problems are solved within the SLA and to the satisfaction of the user.

  • Proactively share knowledge and experiences in Guilds, with colleagues from own and other squad with a similar technical and / or functional focus.

  • Collaborate with other agile team (squad) members to implement user stories, design tests for prototypes and products, and continuously deliver product enhancements in sprints.

  • Live the Lean, Scrum and Signify values.

  • Live the Signify LEAN methodology

  • Participate in the LEAN Program

Key Challenges & Complexity

  • Although your location is Signify Eindhoven this is a global role. Your need to interact with IT and business stakeholders globally.

  • Signify has a different Market Groups and Divisions and Operates with different business models. You need to deal with a multitude of variants and complexities in Digital landscape.

  • You are required to also build-up knowledge on integration aspects with other components in your domain and outside your domain e.g., Product Information Management (STEP), eCommerce system (Magento).

  • You need to interact with Business Process Owner, Business Process Experts, Product Owners, Key Users and Business management on your projects and changes.

Your qualifications

You are open minded, curious, and innovative and aligned with our company values and aims and you bring the following experiences and competencies:

  • Master Degree preferably in Marketing, Business Economics, Mathematics, or IT

  • At least 5 plus years of hands-on development experience in the Marketing IT with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)

  • Business Process Expertise in the Digital Marketing

Functional Competences

  • Analytical skills

  • Knowledge of Agile / Scrum methodology.

  • IT savvy, adept at designing and implementing.

  • Fluent written and verbal English skills

  • Good at communication and presentation skills.

  • A team player

Technical Competences

  • Certification is Adobe Experience manager version 6.3 or higher.

  • Relevant experience in JSP, Apache Sling, HTL (slightly), HTSQL, XML, HTML, REST, CSS, JAVAscript, Java servlets, Java Content Repository, JEE, and JavaScript, ElasticSearch.

  • Understanding of web servers, including Internet Information Services (IIS 7.5/8.5).

  • Understanding of AWS Cloud Platform.

  • Solid understanding of all Adobe AEM building blocks, including templates, components, dialogs, widgets, etc., and the AEM development and deployment process.

  • Protocols: - REST, GraphQL.

  • Tooling: JIRA, Maven, Slack, Confluence, GitHub, Jenkins.

  • PHP development knowledge and Adobe Magento eCommerce knowledge is a plus.
