Manager Compensation Amsterdam

On behalf of our client, an international fashion company with their HQ in Amsterdam, we are recruiting for a Manager Compensation. Do you have 7+ year's experience with Compensation within an international company and available to start right away?


The Compensation & Benefits department is responsible for designing, optimizing and executing the European compensation strategy, philosophy, programs, policies and initiatives. The C&B department is part of the European Headquarters in Amsterdam, acting as a Center of Excellence within the overall Human Resources department.

The Manager Compensation position reports into the Sr Director Compensation & Benefits Europe. The position collaborates with HR Business Partners and Country HR leads and interacts with Talent Acquisition, L&D, HRIS and HR Operations.

Main responsibilities
Business partner in the design of state-of-the-art Compensation and Benefits programs in the European region, with a strong focus on Compensation support for Countries.

  • Independently drive country benchmarking and follow through with country HR leads providing mechanisms and tools, creating consistent competitive pay positioning;
  • Manage job levelling within European region in close collaboration with HR Business partners and country HR leads;
  • Drive salary market data analysis and recommendations for both general salary ranges as well and job specific niche market ranges;
  • Provide salary offer recommendations for new hires and promotions;
  • Manage C&B related projects and participate in general HR projects;
  • Standardize C&B related processes, regulations and guidelines.


Requirements:

  • Approximately 7-10 year experience in a Compensation & Benefits role, preferably in an international matrix organization or consultancy background;
  • Wholesale experience with variable pay is a must;
  • Experience in leveling with Mercer IPE;
  • Strong entrepreneurial mind-set;
  • Detailed orientated and solution driven, analytical skills;
  • Project management skills End to End;
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Finance;
  • HRIS experience, working knowledge of Workday is a plus;
  • Experienced user of MS office, highly experienced in Excel;
  • Fluent in English, any other European language is a plus.
