Working as an Account Manager in our Public segment at Signify is dynamic. We’re greater together through peer learning in our globally diverse team, with different backgrounds.

As an Account ManagerPublic, you’ll have the exciting opportunity to work together with municipalities and cities. You’ll help them create the smart city for the future through value-add connected street & road lighting solutions, data intelligence and generating a more energy efficient, safer and responsive environment.

You’ll be in a position of transforming the light equipment of our public customers from conventional lighting to connected and smart LED lighting systems and managed services, which brings added value far beyond lighting.

You’re going to work in a team with Segment Marketing, Sales Back Office, Supply Chain, our Lighting Application team and the international Systems Center for Proposal and Project Management.

What you’ll do
  • You’ll drive sales in the assigned region and develop and strengthen an existing customer base and acquire new customers in the public segment (municipalities, cities, subscribers and installers)

  • You’ll create tailored solutions for an improved lighting system that promotes energy efficiency, safety, sustainability and enhanced outcomes to help them, becoming a smarter and more liveable city/municipality.

  • You’ll ensure high quality in customer assignments and projects (consultancy, customer planning, presentations, solutions and project coordination)

  • You’ll deliver according to budget and maximize set sales goals

  • You’ll differentiate Signify systems & services offerings strategically and tactically by understanding the business drivers, knowledge of the competition, and by applying the appropriate mix of technology, helping our customers to improve their infrastructure and energy efficiency

  • You’ve excellent & professional collaboration with the customer service desk, system architect, our Lighting Application Specialists and the System Center.

What you’ll need
  • You’ve a bachelor and/or a master degree in a relevant commercial and/or technical orientation (business administration, marketing, supply chain, engineering, …)

  • You’ve at least 3+ years of sound experience in a customer-facing role and proven track record in value selling principles, preferably with experiences in the Public area.

  • You’re able to build meaningful relationships and you’ve excellent stakeholder management skills, on both strategic and operational level.

  • You’re fluent in Dutch & advanced level of English

  • You’ve solid analytical skills, able to translate data into insights into actions.

  • You’ve entrepreneurial skills & you’re a team player with good presentation skills who delivers on commitments
