New Horizons, one of the most innovative initiatives within the bank, is looking for a dedicated Feasibility Lead. In this role you will work at the edge of the bank and develop highly innovative financial services which are embedded in platforms of digital third-parties. Our lending proposition focuses on helping our SME customer grow and contribute to new revenue streams for the bank. We do this in a fully agile, flexible setting focused on executing our ambitions. As our Feasibility Lead, you will help to shape and execute our Banking-as-a-Service strategy aimed at helping our SMEs grow.

Feasibility Lead
This position allows you to shape the long-term technical vision and strategy for embedded financial services. As Feasibility Lead, you are accountable to manage the development activities. You plan, coordinate and ensure timely execution of the development backlog. In a devops model adapted to fit the needs for the innovative setting, you bridge the requirements translation from the ‘What’ and ‘How’ towards actual development. Our New Horizons team is primarily focused on defining growth strategies and developing new and disruptive services for the SME market. You are highly motivated to translate the strategic course of action into execution on towards development of embedded financial services.

As feasibility lead, you are responsible for building a high-performing team that excels in rapid, and data-driven product development, focussed on exceeding customer expectations and scaling the business. The Feasibility Lead is a technical IT manager that holds a position of influence and responsibility regarding the actual implementation of the newly developed features. Together with the Viability Lead and the Desirability Lead, you will make innovative ideas a reality. Managing a team of Developers, Business Analysts and Architects, the Feasibility Lead is accountable for the development component in each sprint starting with scope agreement up to delivery and including timely escalations when required.

  • Strong focus on growing our potential third party base and potential feature scope in order to maximize our impact in embedded lending;

  • Improve new innovative Banking-as-a-Service solutions in line with our strategy and drive implementation.

What we expect

  • A leader with strong communication skills;

  • Strong affinity with IT and, where necessary, you are not afraid to really dive deep in the technical implications of possible scenarios and you strive naturally towards a demonstrable best approach taking into account all different factors.

  • You recognize yourself in the following expertise areas: Cloud-technology, AWS, event-driven technologies, Kafka, Java, API enabled environments, web development, micro-services.

  • You take initiative and can convince all stakeholders, technical and non-technical of the soundness of your decisions.

  • Ability to work with stakeholders across the business to develop, launch, and iterate innovative API-driven solutions, and capability to scale these in the future

  • Experience in innovation methodologies and principles like lean-startup and you know how to apply and integrate lean-startup principles within the team

  • Strong affinity with new technologies and new ways of working. Good understanding of BigTech, FinTech and open banking is a big plus;

  • Positive presence, fun to work with and a passion to drive change & execution.

  • a gross monthly salary based on salary scale 10 between € 4.492,45 and 6.417,78 (depending on your exact experience)

  • a thirteenth month and holiday pay;

  • an Employee Benefit Budget. You decide how to spend this budget. This may include purchasing extra leave days, making extra pension contributions or even receiving a monthly cash payout;

  • a personal budget that you can spend on activities related to your personal development and career;

  • flexible working times and location-independent working (subject to assignments);

  • a pension scheme, to which your contribution is only 3,5%.
