Your work ensures that merchants get access to the latest payment services for in their shops, on the road or online. The payment industry is rapidly changing and with all these new developments, online and in house shopping get more and more interwoven. Consumers want to pay the way they like best and as a merchant you want to stay ahead and offer them the easiest and most convenient ways to pay. Rabo OmniKassa (ROK) offers this flexibility already for over a 100.000 merchants.

Our mission to offer our products and services where merchants need them, combines the strengths of innovative parties and established institutions such as Rabobank. This speeds up the change to an attractive PSP platform and ultimately allows us to better serve merchants and live up to their expectations.

Creating an impact

Imagine working in a team where fun is as important as customer satisfaction, where together we build and maintain reliable, high quality software. The Tribe B2B works with various DevOps (Squads) teams: they are the foundation of our IT organization. They work autonomously as much as possible and are self-organizing.

As a Software Engineer you are responsible for the development, testing and maintenance of several Rabo OmniKassa components. You ensure the software complies with architectural- and security guidelines, is easy to maintain and make sure it is easy to monitor. As part of the team you also share the responsibility from the very first ideas to the creation and maintenance of it: you build it, you run it.

You will be assigned to 1 of the DevOps teams but will also work in close cooperation with your colleagues from the other ROK teams. As a senior team member we also expect you to mentor and coach the more junior team members to grow to their full potential.

  • 8+ years or more working experience as a developer in complex IT landscape;

  • Experience in or affinity with software development in the financial sector, the payment sector in particular;

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in e.g. Computer Sciences;

  • Fluent in Dutch and English;

  • Knowledge of and experience with:

    • Highly experienced in JAVA 8+

    • Experienced with backend development: Java 8+, Spring, Hibernate / Mybatis, SQL, REST, JSON, TDD, CDC (Consumer-Driven Contract tests), OpenAPI, Junit, ELK stack, Docker, GIT

    • Micro services

    • Serverless computing

    • Secure coding, basic knowledge of cryptography

    • Nice to have: frontend development using Angular(JS)

    • You love the cloud (Azure)

    • Experience with CI/CD

    • Take ownership from design to production (DevOps mindset)

    • Agile mindset

  • A gross monthly salary depends on experience, between € 4.492,- and € 7.722,- (scale 10-11) based on 36-hours per week, depending on experience and leadership capabilities;

  • A pension scheme where you contribute only 3,5%;
