Global HR Operations Data & Privacy Lead

All about the role

You are obsessed with data, lots of them. You understand where data live and how they should be treated. In HR, data are as reliable as the (SOX) controls you have in place to ensure data accuracy. You coordinate the work needed to drive data accuracy and related analysis & controls. You also understand how data privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR) protect our teams and organization and partner with our DPO to embed these in our processes and systems.

You are the spider in this web. You coordinate and analyze data accuracy with our HR operations & payroll teams across the globe and work with other internal stakeholders to drive controls, audits, and compliance with privacy regulations. Internal stakeholders include our HR teams, Risk & control, BI and Analytics team, and privacy ambassadors. You will also work closely with our DPO Office, taking their direction on policy and standards.

In summary, we’re counting on you to:

  • Develop and ensure the data privacy controls by participating in policy and procedure development and delivering projects to implement, monitor, and test these. Actively participate in the Privacy Ambassador Network and work closely with the DPO Office
  • Drive ongoing data accuracy by coordinating data reviews & audits with our HR Operations & Payroll teams. Participate in projects to integrate data, systems, and related processes.
  • Be the first point of contact for all data protection/privacy-related questions, helping the DPO in information gathering and data breaches within the HR and Payroll organization. You will also assist your colleagues by providing input for privacy assessments.
  • Drive effective data governance and SOX controls across our HR operations & payroll teams, in cooperation with our risk, control, and audit teams.
Can you deliver…

Here are the skills and experience we need from you:

  • minimum of 5 years experience in a data-related role
  • Substantial knowledge of data privacy regulations and ideally Sox controls.
  • Can translate across different audiences
  • Understanding of (big) data technologies
  • A natural collaborator with excellent communication skills - build bridges
  • A proactive, data-driven, and logical mindset
  • Fluent English language skills (written & spoken)
