(Senior) Associate, Financial Risk Management (FRM)
Our Risk Consulting team is looking for talented colleagues to work on FRM projects in the financial services industry. We are looking for candidates who enjoy solving complex and important problems and thereby helping to build trust in society. Candidates who are inspired by working with different teams and clients, and who are keen to continuously develop their risk expertise and consulting skills, are welcome to apply for the position of (Senior) Associate Financial Risk Management.
How you will add value to our team
You will use your technical and professional skills to advise our clients on financial risk management – or broader enterprise risk management - challenges. You will work on e.g.:
Assessing risk management frameworks against regulatory requirements and good market practices and advising clients on how to improve these
Advising clients on the management of market risk, credit risk, interest rate risk (IRRBB), liquidity risk or ESG-related risks
Contributing to broader subjects such as ICAAP, ILAAP, recovery & resolution planning, and the transformation and digitalisation of Risk to become ‘fit for future’
Advising clients on the interaction with local and European supervisory authorities and support them in responding to supervisory requests and preparing communication to supervisors.
You will also contribute to innovative initiatives in the area of risk management, e.g. advanced risk analytics. In addition, analysing the impact of emerging risks like climate risk, cyber risk, and behavioural risk will increasingly become part of your work as a financial risk management consultant.
Who are you
We are looking for colleagues who enjoy performing regulatory work and advising clients, who have:
A master’s degree or PhD with an academic background in (quantitative) finance, business administration, economics, econometrics, or another relevant master’s degree
2-6 years of relevant working experience in the financial services sector or consulting, gained in the field of enterprise risk management, financial risk management, or balance sheet management
A good understanding of either credit risk-, market risk-, or interest rate risk management, or of enterprise risk management topics such as ICAAP, ILAAP, or recovery & resolution planning
A good understanding of financial services business and relevant regulatory knowledge
Affinity with further developing our expertise in emerging risk types like climate risk, cyber risk, or behavioural risk
Excellent communication skills, in English and preferably also in Dutch
Consulting, teamplay and social skills, and you enjoy building strong relationships with clients
Enthusiasm, positive energy, and the drive to make a difference in a challenging environment.
