Demand Planner

Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Built on the business forecast for the BMC within the Market based on insights and assumptions and to identify any gaps in achieving the targets.

The position can be based in Amsterdam or Paris.

You are responsible for

  • Creating Sales, Marketing, Consensus forecast for the assigned planning horizon, business and/or Customer Planning Groups by creating the statistical baseline forecast and enriching it with all relevant input from Sales, Customers, Customer Project Managers, Supply/Operations, Marketing, Finance and adjacent functions.

  • Collecting input for phase-in/out & promotions and manage the underlying process for the market and/or customers.

  • Reviewing and analyzing historical sales trends, sell out, stock-in-trade, research demand drivers, preparing forecast analytics and evaluate forecast results.

  • Leading conversation with relevant counterparts, propose forecast adjustments and challenge assumptions underpinning input.

  • Supporting all relevant functions in creating and communicating gap-closing scenarios.

  • Supporting all relevant functions in preparing, planning, communicating and revising forecast for Customer Forecast Review Meeting, Business Integration Meeting and/or Market Leadership meeting. Adjust forecasts based on meeting outputs.

You are a part of

The new Domestic Appliances Central Team, and will report into the Integrated Planning S&OP Leader. To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • 5-8 years’ work experience in Business or Supply Chain environment.

  • Experience in Supply Chain Management or in a planning role either further upstream (supply centers, factories) or downstream (retail).

  • Experience managing an internationally located team

  • Experience in working in an x-function organization.

  • Bachelor degree or higher.

  • Preferably APICS CPIM certification.

  • Familiar with ERP and advanced planning tools, preferable SAP and JDA.

  • Commercial understanding

  • Demand Plan Development

  • Collaborative Planning

  • Customer First Mindset

  • Data Analytics - Ability to use data based root cause analysis for continuous improvement

  • Fluent in English
