Lead ITBP Solutions & Business Model Innovation

Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Lead the IT strategy to enable services, software, and products to be delivered as Solutions for Philips customers. You will drive the plan to activate capabilities across the entire IT landscape in support of scaling Philips Solutions and new business models.

The Lead IT Business Partner builds the executive-level strategic partnership between IT and the Solutions Transformation Leadership, markets, and businesses. You proactively identify opportunities to gain competitive advantage through Information Technologies. You ensure that Solutions strategies and objectives are influenced and enabled by IT, that IT works according to well-balanced IT/Business agreements and that the busines is satisfied with Philips IT services and capabilities.

You are responsible for

  • Define the capability roadmap to enable solutions across the end to end landscape (from new business model creation à catalog à quoting à order à fulfillment à delivery à customer service and education). Lead a cross-functional team defining the strategy horizon for capabilities reflecting business priority and program capacity. Drive plans including the ability to scale the number solutions launched annually. Build a framework supported by the underlying IT platforms and data models that empowers the markets to innovate with customers.

  • IT strategic partnering and relationship management with the Philips Solutions Transformation leadership. Engage across the relevant business and market stakeholder (together with their peers in the Engagement teams) to deeply understand customer needs and priorities. You are the primary focal point for IT related to new business models and solutions. You will provide domain expertise and leadership for the Business/Market/Function at the senior levels of the organization. In doing so, you provide direct support to the CIO and Head of IT Business/Market Engagement IT across topics such as IT/Business strategy and road mapping and shaping outcomes via IT to support business needs.

  • Lead the development of a three to five-year IT Roadmap and Strategic Plans (reviewed quarterly) with the Solutions Team. Team up with ITBPs supporting business clusters and markets to develop plans that are collectively prioritized and meet differentiated needs of our customers around the world. Market and Business priorities become inputs (e.g. themes and Epics in Scaled Agile) to the process, architecture, and data designs. These plans in turn drive the sequencing of the transformation programs together with global process owners and IT platforms.

You are a part of

The Lead ITBP Solutions & Business Model Innovation will be part of the Business Engagement horizontal in the new IT Operating Model. You will team up with ITBPs across the Engagement teams to understand the needs of our customers and define executable plans that meet the strategic plans of our business-market combinations. You will team up with Enterprise Architecture and Information & Data Management teams to lead executable plans. You will partner with global business process owner and transformation program managers to define the capability backlog and ensure plans are executed efficiently.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Expertise with new business models and underlying IT capabilities required to define, sell, deliver, and support solutions. Experience developing frameworks to channel innovation that can be scaled across the IT architecture. Knowledge of the end to end processes from engineering, commercial, and service along with the supporting technologies (e.g. configure – price - quote, enterprise resource planning, and service delivery)

  • Master’s degree recommended in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Marketing, or another related field. May have equivalent work experience MBA or equivalent appreciated.

  • Typically has 10 to 15 years of IT and business work experience with a broad range of exposure to various technical environments and business segments. Extensive experience with monitoring and reporting to own organization and stakeholders.

  • Strong experience managing and developing team(s) responsible for strategic planning, business development or client management and working with a broad range of diverse and complicated business units. Must possess very strong business acumen. Excellent track-record of driving process improvements with users, process experts and IT and playing an advisory role.

Strategic Partnering & Stakeholder Management:

Demonstrates high competence in service shaping. Actively engage with business and market leaders and discuss plans and strategies. Identify how IT’s services advance business objectives.

Business Acumen:

Speak the language of the business – understanding asset management, safety, utility provision and disruptive technologies. Understand the value chain, budgets, regulatory drivers, and constraints

Know how to use appropriate metrics to drive value.

Service Portfolio Management:

Align to the IT department service portfolio with their relevant strategy. Understand the available capabilities and the drivers and constraints for designing new ones in the most effective and cost-efficient manner.

Builds excellent relationships with business stakeholders and is considered a trusted advisor by senior stakeholders in the Business/Market/Function and IT organizations. Powerful communications & influencing - Skilled in listening, persuading, influencing, and shaping understanding. Communicate win-win scenarios, surface disconnects and work to resolve problems. You can say “no” by offering meaningful alternatives.
