FP&A Global Business Process Owner

Job Description

Your challenge

As the Senior Director - FP&A Global Business Process Owner, you will work with the FP&A leadership team and the Finance Global Business Process Owner to deliver this vision.


Your responsibilities

·Realize best in class FP&A processes

oEnsure completeness and quality of documentation in the Philips Excellence Process Framework - Perform planning and management accounting. Ensure deployment readiness and implementation in line with the business transformation planning

oDrive standardization and harmonization of FP&A processes, apply ESSA principles (Elimination, Standardization, Simplification, Automation)

oBuild funnel for process and systems improvement to be prioritized; drive change management for new and improved processes.

oCollaborate with the broader BPO community from finance and non-finance domains with end to end perspective

·Act as custodian of the Philips Finance Management Accounting Framework

oAlign with stakeholders on strategic choices on management accounting to meet business requirements

oMaintain & govern management accounting rules & directives

oEnsure effective communication of changes to the Management Accounting Framework to Finance users, in addition to training of new FP&A/Finance staff

·Working with the FP&A Digital lead to realize an effective management information landscape for FP&A and Finance

oOwn the vision and architecture of combining financial and non-financial data for effective and efficient performance management processes

oOversee functional choices and designs in various FP&A tools - Performance Management Accounting (PMA) and Planning (BPC); ensure adequate controls in the core planning and reporting systems.

oCollaborate with IT and FP&A Digital team on overall finance system architecture and roadmap

·Steer the prioritization & dovetailing of key projects as part of Philips & Finance Transformation programs

oProvide program management of key initiatives across FP&A, linking with other Finance & functional teams

oRepresent management accounting in key projects such as SAP-Blueheart, SAP-Central Finance, M&A/Integration, Landscape simplification

oEnsure planning & management reporting is secured when new business models and transactional flows (are being designed (eg. subscriptions, solutions)

Your team

The FP&A BPO team is a strong, international, and dynamic team of approximately 20 business process experts with diverse backgrounds and a strong focus on speed, discipline, and execution. It is a global team located in the Netherland and India. You will report directly to the Head of FP&A and indirectly to the Finance Business Process Owner.

We are looking for

·Master Finance Level with at least 15 years relevant experience with proven track record of successful implementation of new process designs, process optimization / reengineering and / or process improvement initiatives

·Broad experience and deep process expertise with Finance & Administration processes of Record to Report, Financial Planning & Analysis and Business Partnering in a complex, multi-dimensional company

·Strong conceptual understanding of process definition and interdependencies on multiple dimensions combined with pragmatic approach to issue resolution

·Proven track record in managing implementation of complex programs

·Strong understanding of SAP and planning systems (preferably SAP BPC)

·Strong leadership, stakeholder management, change management and communication skills

·Strong political acumen, with an ability to recognize organizational and business differences and work to effect alignments, influencing strategic decision and policy making

·Strong people management skills and motivation of teams during times of changes

·Knowledge of and affinity with Philips corporate setup, ways of working, values, cultural expectations and norms is a plus

·Model Philips Leadership competencies and Finance ways of working

·Flexibility to travel occasionally
