Internship: Global Portfolio Marketing (non-thesis)

Duration: at least 6 to 12 months

In this role, you have the opportunity to

The Global portfolio marketing intern will support the Consumer Cluster integrated marketing plans and related processes (24 month planning, marketing planning), ensuring consistency in marketing excellence and –execution and representing the PH businesses.

Reporting into the Global Portfolio Marketing leaders.

You are responsible for

  • Support annual cross-category marketing plan per business including providing input into (integrated) value propositions & -road-map, cross category claims road-maps, and the overall portfolio strategy to business category leaders

  • Assist in proof points of commercial viability of value proposition through executing market testing framework, and day-to-day business contact point for assigned & co-located resources from Insights & Analytics COE

  • Support the business level execution of the 24-month planning cycle – MDDs

  • Ensures professional- and consumer activation is aligned and consistent.

  • Champions marketing capability building within businesses as per Philips marketing capability Framework

You are a part of

Do you want to be involved and help steer the global marketing strategy for Personal Health. Personal Health consist of 4 great categories: Oral health care, Beauty, Mother & Child Care and Male Grooming. You will be a pivotal part in bringing consumer thinking to the Global HQ, Functions and Markets. We drive activities related to the definition, development and introduction of products within the Personal Health portfolio. It is located at the divisional headquarters in Amsterdam and cooperates with different divisions such as design, consumer care centers, innovation sites and country sales organizations.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Currently studying towards your University Master in Sciences WO (Msc.) Business Management, Industrial engineering, Economics and/or Marketing with a focus on B2C

  • Previous experience in another internship

  • Entrepreneurial attitude and show commercial and interpersonal skills

  • Able to combine a strong market- and consumer drive with marketing strategy.

  • An excellent communicator, with keenness to convince others. Fluent in oral and written English.

  • Having excellent planning and organization skills

  • Able to balance strategic thinking with a “hands on” and pragmatic approach.

  • good command of MS office package
