In this internship, you will gain valuable experience performing a variety of activities within our Transport and logistics team. In this role you have the opportunity to work in a department, where you will learn process of transport goods across EMEA, participate in freight audit invoices, generating and improving reports, daily contact with vendors, forwarders and much more. During this internship, you will get valuable experience in daily operations supported by the team, which overlaps areas of transport, supply chain, logistics, and import and export.

You will be responsible for:
Excel master data for transport orders and freight audits
Solving costs discrepancies between the shipments
Cooperating with external global suppliers on the fields of transport rates
Assisting with the freight bill/freight audit and process improvements project
Preparing the reports for daily management purposes
Supporting transport department with daily tasks
What you will need to succeed
We are looking for a Business Administration student, with an affinity with transportation and logistics
Given our company’s international environment, good intercultural communication skills are a must, as well as fluency in the English language, verbally and in writing.
Good data gathering skills and numerical/analytical ability
Problem-solving and results orientated approach
Engaged, motivated, ambitious, eager to learn and develop new skills and knowledge
Ability to work both, individually and as a team player
Good PC skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Microsoft project and intermediate or advance Excel skills (including excel formulas, pivot tables and VLOOKUP)

We aim for a start by the beginning of September 2021 to stay for a minimum of 6 months. Our office is located next to Hoofddorp, Netherlands train station (25 minutes from Amsterdam by train). However, given the still-ongoing COVID-19 situation, most of this assignment will be on a working remote basis, with regular contact with your manager and colleagues via video call. You will be required to visit the Hoofddorp DC 1-day min per week
Please note this is a full-time work experience internship. Therefore, it does not qualify as a thesis or graduation internship, or as a part-time assignment
