Senior Manager Employee Communications for Domestic Appliances

Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to:

Engage our employees by bringing to life our purpose to improve the lives of people at home through meaningful innovation, by helping people turn houses into homes! You’ll focus on supporting our leaders and employees in an inspiring way, helping them to understand how they contribute individually and within their teams to Domestic Appliances’ overall strategic objectives.

You are responsible to:

  • Co-develop and lead the activation of employee and leadership communications to bring to life Domestic Appliances’ objectives. Develop content and help shape the engagement approach to support the activation plan for this, in collaboration with colleagues across businesses, markets and functions. You partner with HR, Strategy and Business Transformation functions to co-develop, activate and measure campaigns. This includes:
    • Development of strategic narrative, key messages and activation ideas to support our engagement and change agenda
    • Development of written, visual and film content to bring the strategic narrative, key messages and activation ideas to life with key audiences
    • Converting employee feedback into insights to shape the engagement plan and create content
    • Collaborating with design and/or other creative partners to bring the plan to life
    • Regular measurement and evaluation to influence senior stakeholder decision-making
    • Activation of leader and employee content via several corporate channels, including virtual engagement platforms
  • Content creation and engagement activities to bring to life priority initiatives that support the global employee engagement objectives
  • Ad-hoc content creation and engagement support across employee and leadership engagement activities managed by the team.

You are part of:

The newly established entrepreneurial, dynamic and ambitious Global Communications, PR and Events team in Philips’ Domestic Appliances. You will report to the Global Communications, PR and Events leader.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Master Degree-level education, with 8+ years of experience in content creation and engagement and / or internal communications in an international matrixed / business environment
  • Proven experience of developing and creating (content for) successful employee and leadership engagement programs
  • Excellent written, visual and film content creation skills and expertise in using virtual engagement platforms such as Yammer
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills: engaging, influencing and aligning expectations
  • Native or near native English language writing skills and oral communication skills
  • Strong project management and analytical skills, and ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience working in consumer (electronics)’ industries is an advantage
