Are you a need-seeker passionate about Clinical Informatics applied to Oncology and/or Cardiology domain, and are interested in supporting Philips Research in bringing new innovations to the market?

If yes, we would love you to join us as Customer Value Proposition Manager Clinical Informatics Innovations in our R&D Clinical Informatics team!

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Initiate and create new business opportunities for Philips in the Precision Diagnosis (PD) businesses. Translate innovative ideas via clinical and customer insights into compelling business propositions. This is a unique opportunity to be actively involved in the decision-making process to get new Philips solutions/services innovation to the market.

You are responsible for
  • Making the link between Research and Precision Diagnosis (PD) Businesses to ensure our innovations have high business potential. Focus will be on innovative clinical informatics propositions and solutions in early development phases.

  • Translating strategic innovations in the Oncology/Cardiology Solutions field into fascinating business propositions;

  • Driving the transformation from single products into integrated solution offerings, including new product/service combinations;

  • Driving strategy discussions across businesses, markets, and functions (including working with senior partners in the organization);

  • Growing the department’s and division’s strategic business awareness, forming a team with other business developers.

You are a part of

The Hospital Services & Informatics department is part of Philips Research. The department combines deep multidisciplinary expertise in order to drive technical, clinical and business model innovation. Deep understanding of unmet clinical needs and of the evolving Healthcare systems provide the basis for such innovation. Products, software and services are combined into broader solutions spanning across multiple stages of the care continuum. Prototypes are developed and evaluated together with clinical collaborators in an agile approach. Tight collaboration with other R&D departments, local markets, and Philips Precision Diagnosis (PD) business cluster ensures translation into commercial offerings and an economy of scale.

The Precision Diagnosis (PD) business cluster consists of multiple imaging, informatics and solutions businesses, and sits at the core of the health continuum – delivering integrated solutions and focusing on particularly on the clinical spaces Radiology, Cardiology, Oncology, Pathology, Neurology and others.

Required skills and experience to succeed in this role

  • A relevant academic degree (MSc, PhD); MBA is a plus.

  • 3 years of work experience in business development, product management, or strategic marketing in the Healthcare Informatics sector;

  • Knowledge of Clinical Informatics applied to either Oncology or Cardiology domain;

  • Need-seekermindset: ability to gather customer insights and understand value from the perspective of the customer. Experience with need exploration, need scoping and evidence generation is a plus.

  • Experience with Value Propositions Creation process: co-creating customer-centric value propositions in a multi-disciplinary setting.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset: proactively look out for and act on new growth opportunities, take up full responsibility for the success of your value propositions;

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, plus a team spirit enabling you to build engaging relationships with project and program teams in Research, with key partners in Philips businesses and market teams, and with healthcare customers;

  • Business intelligence and strategic analysis skills is a plus: the ability to collaborate with our Competitive Intelligence & Health Economics group at Philips Research to elaborate market trends and competitive analysis, to ensure Philips competitive advantage.

  • Fluency in the English language;
