Regional Operations Manager (Restaurant), Uber Eats - EMEA

About the Role

Uber Eats is looking to grow the Regional Operations Restaurants team in the EMEA HQ in Amsterdam. The mission of the Operations team is simple: make Uber Eats the preferred delivery platform for restaurants, couriers and customers in the 13 EMEA markets where we operate. The Restaurants team aims to provide restaurants with a superior delivery experience, and empower them to grow their business. As a Restaurant Operations Manager, you are tasked with identifying operational weaknesses in the region, digging deep into the data to surface insights that will help us improve or innovate new processes, and allow our local operations teams to operate efficiently and grow the markets.

What You'll Do

Wondering what your day-to-day will look like? You will work on optimizing processes to help restaurants achieve their first delivery on the platform in a short timeframe, at minimum costs, and in a manner set up for success. In order to achieve this, we need to develop Gold Standards for the region and share these effectively with our country teams.

The core activities of our team include ongoing analyses of our onboarding processes and operational costs, to drive efficient and cost-effective growth of restaurants on our platform. You will become the Regional POC for relevant HQ product teams to enthusiastically advocate for new features to improve the restaurant onboarding experience by presenting data driven cases for changes.

We are looking for someone to lead the execution process and be responsible for the rollout of new tech features and regional initiatives. This is a highly hands-on, operational team with a regional scope. Take ownership of Uber Eats's growth in the region and do what's needed to get the job done!

What You'll Need

  • At least 3 years of operations, analytics, consulting, or other related experience
  • Exceptional Excel / data management skills. SQL is a must.
  • Explorer - the ability to self-serve, investigate and get the data we require will make you much more effective in this role. A self-starter attitude is required!
  • Comfort with ambiguity. You are unfazed by executing on projects where all the information is not always available and priorities can change as more data comes to bear.
  • Balance attention to detail with swift execution - we need to do things quickly, and we need to do them well. Balancing those can be challenging, and this should be a strength.
  • Clear communicator. You are a clear and concise communicator with the ability to synthesize a lot of information quickly, highlight the important points, and disseminate actionable insights.
  • Ability to work with remote teams and across time zones to develop strategies and foster a cohesive and creative work environment.
